QUOTE(aiyish @ Aug 23 2010, 05:22 PM)
But Balotelli is much more better than Torres, as what is said by Mancini...  laugh.gif

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/aug/22/roberto-mancini-mario-balotelli-manchester-city

He said, Balotelli can do more than torres. We may have torres, but they have Balotelli, who is a much better player than Torres, according to him.  tongue.gif
*
Mind games mahhh...
Didnt you play Football Manager? hhahaha..
Well, Balotelli is a good striker... No deny...

A win will be a bonus for us, judging from the fact that we finished 7th last season..
Nevertheless, we got an upper hand where ManCity is just a team who have a lot of star players, but they still need time to gel among themselves..

RH should've sell Lucas out and used that money to buy a striker, not by swapping with Babel..For me he got potential

Watched a vid of Meireles,sweet volleys biggrin.gif
*
No nid sell Lucas guaa?
Sell him liao nid another replacement... Where to find?
Lucas isnt that weak i think, not many brazillians can do well in BPL...
Not even Anderson who is so high rated...
Not even Robinho who is a first eleven member for his national side..

QUOTE(liez @ Aug 30 2010, 11:38 PM)
most of barca players from their youth are small wad else u wanna expect???... messi, iniesta, xavi, pedro, j.suarez, bojan, puyol, pacheco, fabregas, mereida ...maybe the youth system includes a super heavy daily 350reps weight lifting exercise in the sytem when they had just gotten into secondary school.
*
Dont rmbr its Premier League... More body contact...
Small players might not survive though some might think they have the agility advantage..

Both Gomez and Suarez are good for Liverpool..
But at the moment, i think "Super Mario" is the best option for Liverpool..
Physical Presence...

Is C.Cole better than Babel? I doubt so.
*
What about in terms of being a targetman where physical presence is one of the vital qualities?
Bring Carlton Cole here!!! Though Ryan Babel has his own qualities, but due to the fact of only Torres and Ngog, we certainly do not have enough "strength fire power"...

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 13 2010, 04:33 PM)
Gerrard still need to play at midfield. Put Pacheco, Ngog or Babel to pair with Torres.

With Lucas-Poulsen combinatin, there is no one to control the midfield area, and create passes. Torres + Gerrard combination has lose the spark initially season back. Opponent knows how to play and deal with this strategy already, just cut off the midfield supply, nothing can be done by both of them.

Liv plays better after Lucas being subbed and Gerrard shifted back to the midfield.
Somebody need to take control the midfield area.
*
Nono, should put it in this way...
Liverpool plays better when Raul Meireles comes in... laugh.gif

jovanovic pretty much shit.. dunno why ppl sayin him world class.. even acting is failed.. shouting alone ??? WTF???

Who are those ppl saying him world class?
If he is not in that level, i would say he is a decent forward...

QUOTE(CrossFirE @ Sep 13 2010, 08:24 PM)
i think gerrard must go back to midfield along with raul. cole will play behind torres or maybe shift to the left and babel can play alongside with torres.

maybe we could try babel in front of the attacking force and torres just shadowing him. maybe this will create the gap which they will mark torres more than babel and babel can score.
*
Is below a good statement?
Joe Cole is vital for us now... At least the flair and creativity is there..

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 19 2010, 11:23 PM)
Did great?
Score a penalty and a freekick (which defender should brave enough to block the ball instead avoid it) is not something to proud about.

There is virtual zero threat to VDS for the entire match.

Good performance?? Did I watch the wrong match?
It is lucky that come back from 2-0, but yet defending is still dismay.

Liv only plays better for 15-20 period, other than that, it is just like attacking vs defending practice which Liv is the end of the defending side.

From my pov, zero point.

AF makes a sensible comment and hit the nail on the head.
*
Perhaps a good response?
At least give some credits?

The foul that leads to the penalty, what else can you say?
J.Evans had no contact with the ball, brought down Torres, a clear penalty there..

Next, nice through ball from R.Meireles that is able to set Torres a 1 on 1 situation with the keeper before J.O.Shea brought him down..
In fact, it should be a red card for O Shea as he was the last defender..

Anyway, for me, Joe Cole the man of the match smile.gif

Added on September 20, 2010, 12:55 amAnd, dont forget, it is Old Trafford...
Not many teams can perform good football at Old Trafford stadium...

Lets see our next match against Sunderland at Anfield 25/9/10 22:00....

QUOTE(cheez @ Sep 20 2010, 02:29 AM)
wow, after reading through so many pages, not even a single one of you mentioned NGOG??
Have you guys noticed it was after Ngog came in, then we had the 2 goals?

Before Ngog, Torres had nowhere to run, being heavily marked by defenders, he could do minimal damage. I barely saw a great run from him before Ngog.

After Ngog, Torres was freed up a bit and resulting in better runs and eventually got us the penalty and free kick. Also, I could see Ngog almost everywhere around the pitch. He even ran all the way back to our D box to snatch the ball off scholes' feet!

This kid is maturing and will be a key player soon. I rated him and Babel very high, however Babel is still finding it difficult to shine. Ngog is showing a glimpse of his potential. Although he didn't score, he made a big impact in the game!

Other than that, I think you guys should go easy on the team.

Although the team lost, I'm still happy in supporting Liverpool FC. When I heard "You'll Never Walk Alone" when we're down 2-0, it again reassures me that we are supporting the best club in the world. No matter the team are ahead or trailing, we're still backing them up.

YNWA~

We are waiting for you to mention Ngog wink.gif

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Sep 20 2010, 07:15 AM)
I seriously thought Reina could have done better with the 2nd and third goal. For the 2nd, he didnt even try to save it...Just stood there and let it in.If he try and jump and it still went in, I have nth to say.The thing is he didnt even try anything!same goes with the 3rd, made the wrong judgement.A slight of confusion in him maybe...The normal reina could have save it...
*
Bro, 2nd goal how to save oh?
Carragher blocked the view and Reina had no sight on the ball...
Plus, the ball is lobbing into the net before hitting the post.... I guess Cech has difficulty to save it as well..
Anyway, the 3rd goal nth to say lah, Reina just stood ther...
But Carra should have done better biggrin.gif
