It is, but I was thinking of spending my credit on either extra RAM / HDD space. But if the intel cards make a big difference, I might just sacrifice abit and go for the intel 6200.

GenTech are still saying their orders will ship this Friday, so fingers crossed !
*
Stock G53 already have massive amount of RAM, i doubt you need even more.

HDD wise, you might want to get Momentus XT. Worth upgrading, IMO. Faster load up time for your windows, programs and games.

Wireless card, if possible, get it upgraded too.

Or go for those extra bling blings like coloured keyboards. laugh.gif

just wondering..is it possible to list down the specs of all G series? there're quite a few variants for each G51, G73 etc..
*
I doubt i can list out every single one of them, as there are so many variants of each model.

The main thing should concern you are G53JW, G73JH and G73JW. G51, G72 are old model.

hey cheesenium, are there any good shops to get notebook accessories, (Mouse, headphones, cooler pad) in sydney? or is it cheaper to get it back in Malaysia?

Thinking about the Rokkat Kave headphones...
*
Depends on which G53 and G73 you are getting, you might get a Steel Series headset. Pretty good IMO.

Anyway, if you want to get accessories, get them in Malaysia.

but i'm not planing to use RAID 0...

@cheesnium so easy arh? i thought the G53 have to remove the keyboard, and everything just to access the hdd?

*
If the design is the same, RAM and HDD access should be easy.

If I'm not mistaken, it is a little bit harder to access the HDD in G53 compared to G73 as the size is smaller. Can try to watch the GenTechPC or xoticpc review vid. Peace!
*
Then, im wrong then.

Why Asus loves to make disassembling their laptop so difficult? :/

I have to agree with you on this. The only downside of G73 or G53 is the difficulties in disassembling it. sad.gif
*
And the thermal paste issue.

I think they just want to discourage people to open it up.

QUOTE(DoubleU @ Nov 3 2010, 03:40 PM)
well, maybe they wanted a sexy smooth bottom xD
*
Well, the smooth bottom wont make any difference, as no one see it.
