After reading the article, I realised that the message was, all FUTURE Nokia phones will be on WP7 and no more on Symbian. Damn, must sue the blogger for his wrong title.

If they migrate it to WP7 wont that be another setback for them? Weird la using nokia devices with WP7. Now i rather just hope that MeeGo OS didnt die like it suppose to.

QUOTE(doomx @ Feb 12 2011, 01:37 AM) If they migrate it to WP7 wont that be another setback for them? Weird la using nokia devices with WP7. Now i rather just hope that MeeGo OS didnt die like it suppose to. QUOTE Elop clarified that MeeGo will ship this year but "not as part of another broad smarpthone platform strategy, but as an opportunity to learn." Something that sounds very similar to position Nokia took with its so-called "experimental" Maemo-based N900 last year. After the first (and apparently, only) MeeGo device ships this year, the MeeGo team will then "change their focus into an exploration of future platforms, future devices, future user experiences." Trying to determine the "next disruption" in smartphones. Responding to "hope for a broad MeeGo-based ecosystem," Elop said that Nokia simply wasn't moving fast enough to effectively win and compete against Apple and Google. Windows Phone makes it a "three-horse race," something that Elop says is pleasing to the carriers he's been speaking with. That sums it all up... another N900 in the making... moreover, Elop specifically said this... QUOTE Nokia will "substantially reduce" R&D expenditures while increasing R&D productivity moving forward. |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Feb 12 2011, 01:43 AM) Hopefully Nokia can stand strong after all this changes.. Looks like time is really hard and the platform wars had really hit them hard this time. They are adapting to the situation it seems. |

Symbian will still continue at least for few years and by the time, most of us would have probably change phone. Every OS have good and weakness. Look at Motorola, when they started with android, everyone went for it. But later the got dissapointed, those who got milestone, milestone XT, no update for future android version, so most of them are stuck with the current os with no update. Same goes with SE with android, no further update.when nokia said there is symbian3 i tot there is a big change.... when the n8 annouce I seriously disappointed wt it spec... but nvm, still have some die hard fans keep thinking nokia is the leader, symbian is the best until today.... @vira, symbian will stall still from now on... nokia own team will be busy on hardware n integration to wp7 part.... |

Don't get it wrong.. it has nothing to do with Android itself technically... it is how swift the support from the company who use the open platform Android... but eventhough there are not much official update for them, just search around XDA.. plenty of custom rom for them.. Froyo.. even gingerbread... |

QUOTE(Faint @ Feb 18 2011, 04:08 AM) Two reasons for you to get a blurry picture :1) shaky hands 2) it is a fixed focus camera phone. Make sure that the photo that you take is within the focus range. This post has been edited by ViRaViRa: Feb 19 2011, 10:05 PM |
