I thought Lx5 would be better than Lx3 and S95 better than S95? Nolah, i didn't say Lx5 is the best. One more thing, does S95 have battery indicator to show how much battery left? I know canon compact can take around 250 pic per charge but very difficult to estimate sometimes because depending how long you on the camera and view on it.

I mean as you said the skill of taking picture is more important. I own Ixus 850 for few years but i still can't take as nice as the pictures of 850 posted in the internet, me having problem especially with the angle of the sun.

Yeah i think i saw the bar, would prefer it to be in minutes though, but as least better than Ixus 850 which don't have any indicator at all.

i tot warranty is international

waseh so indicator... very dangerous oh...

it has 3 bar indicator, and low batt indicator.

so far i've used it without any issues, can easily last more than 1 day and hundreds of shots.

note that since it's F2 bigger aperture, the flash is not needed in most shots so that also helps in extending batt life. i thought of buying an extra batt but don't think i need it anymore.

If got international warranty, all ppl will purchase at those country who selling most cheap already...

I think the 1 year warranty is called traveller's warranty.. U need to be a traveller with passport to get it converted to the international and it's only 1 year.. Correct me if I am wrong... I rmb most brands have this international warranty thing..

The S95 comes with 1+2 years warranty (register your warranty online for the extra 2 years).

add me to the club.. just bought last weekend at lowyat for RM1270 (plus case, screen protector and 4G SDHC) and get a free gift... Sony Adilfitri Tissue box... LOL... i bought a Small monopod too for taking picture using smile shutter or wink function... This is for me and my gf when we visit overseas and got no 1 to help us whole camera... ahahhaa...

For picture quality, i would say so so la.... coz i am a Nikon D90 user... cannot fight in term of ISO... but is consider good for compact la... cheers!
