I've done only the front one, the back one have not done i dont think ill be planning to do it for the anti roller bar. Well i've given up the Proton SC so for the service schedule time i follow the workshop mechanic recommendation. 7k the oil already damn black i think shouldn't risk going for 10k leh. Previously use 10-40w shell now went back to 15-50w penzoil. Cheaper by 30 bucks and i cant feel the difference after all.

Walao that's damn good FC you have there. 90km/h 30l for 500km/h dat's damn good leh.
*
Yup, you are right, JB to Ipoh total is 550km and without refilling along the route, 90% @ 105km/h, another 10% is 105-120km/h. Only can pump in 33.XL when arrive Ipoh. laugh.gif

Trust me, the FC for this car is correct as stated @ specification, only if u willing to drive <110km/h at highway, but i don't think alot of u doing this. What i read is at least 140km/h. doh.gif

Hi,

Anyone checked if their BLM front bonnet can close properly? As in lesser gap between the front grill and the bonnet.

I noticed mine having very large gap when compared to other BLMs.. please share
*
Can snap some pics? If really the case, u can go to SC complain, actually not hard for them to adjust.

Look at the side edge 1st, for current condition, is it the boot is higher than the fender? after adjust just scare ur bonnet will lower than that, look more ugly.

*
So total last you how many KMs after fuel light on til engine stall?

Anyway, shit things can happen anywhere and anytime. A bus with a wide windscreen can't see the huge lorry with emergency lights on at emergency lane and straight bang into it, not new to us anymore, and it happen. smile.gif

Owh! just some update after installing the open pod, well performance wise can really see the pickup and engine does not roar that much anymore, but after 3 tank of petrol, i can pretty confirm 320km standard had drop to 290 - 300km per tank. sad.gif

i might div re-install the original air intake system and install Turbo Air Booster from our forumer here instead.

*P/S: anyone interested in the open pod set? tongue.gif
*
Now more air is easy to reach combustion chamber, of course ECU will give more fuel to mix with, thats why FC go down. Correct me if i'm wrong. tongue.gif

Open port not noisy ka? I read alot of them said the air sucking sound is damn noisy...

Guys, i was just wondering since the new saga FL will be suing the same engine, is the fc for the car good both manual and auto?
*
Same engine, with additional airbag and power windows, so don expect better FC, glad enuf if the FC is not going worst due to additional weight.

*
i don know why u guy so care about the resale value....for me, nothing, next time if I afford to buy the expensive car, i won't even bother to sell my cheap BLM, nonsense, if u can fork out the money, why u care about this cheap car? how good the resale value of Myvi? >10k than BLM? Maybe it just 10% of ur new car...

i rev until kena 7k rpm... kena cut-off so reduced acceleration... shud shift around 6.5k for good acceleration...
*
haha, you are right. I kena once before, wanna overtake 3 cars sekaligus at the front from standstill...so i rev to max for 1st and 2nd gear, when i head to head with 3rd car, suddenly i hit the rev limit, the car bounce back, the feeling is so frustrated, plus opposite road got car coming...at the end i manage to overtake dangerously... doh.gif Our manual gear ratio is very short, RPM raise very fast...1st 7k hit 40km/h, 2nd 80km/h...

I've just done my 1st service (16xxkm instead of 1000km) on 16/12/2010:
1. Syntium 800 - 15W/50 SM 4L - RM97.00
2. Oil Filter - RM12.22
3. Gasket, Drain Plug - RM3.56
4. Magnetrap - RM68.00
5. Screen Wash - RM5.20
TOTAL - RM186.00

Was told Magnetrap is optional but need to install once only so just go ahead. The Malay lady at Puchong SC did told me the function of the magnetrap but I forgot what was that for already tongue.gif
As for the Screeb Wash, I came across the exact same product later at Tesco Puchong and I think Proton SC is selling 40¢-60¢ cheaper.

Here's my comment on Puchong Proton SC:
Service: 5/10 - Lady at the counter is very friendly, they even sms me when the car is ready, but the technician... ptui!! My appointment was 2:15pm, they start working on my car only after 3:15pm, and the way they walk, I tell you... if my grandpa is still alive, he can walk faster than they are. Everything is in slow motion.....
Price: 6/10 - I used to drive a Nissan Sentra a few years back. Done all services at Nissan SC, but I never went to the SC. Whenever I need to service my car, I gave the Nissan sales lady a call, she'll showed up at my office (I worked in Penang Prangin Mall then), I passed her the key, she took my car to the SC, then brought it back to Prangin Mall (she paid for the parking). I paid around RM75.00 everytime. (Anyone in Penang want to buy Nissan cars, I can recommend the sales lady to you. Seriously, very good service.)
*
The magnet trap is use to attract the metal pieces in the oil (piston worn due to friction)and hold at the oil filter, which can stop it from circulate inside the engine to cause more engine wear.

yea i agree with this. i dunno how to explain to everyone but that hole-ish compartment has been so handy for me so far. especially when i tapau food, i don't have to worry about it sliding around.

edit: and the saga fl rims are ugly to me.

QUOTE(Fall guy @ Dec 26 2010, 03:01 PM)
Yeah, very good for tapau food. biggrin.gif
If no food, good for tissue box.
*
Lol, i didn't realize this compartment can put tabao food. biggrin.gif i always use for tissue box laugh.gif should try next time. tongue.gif

Anyway, the hole is use for 2nd airbag, no choice. But how about the low line which don't have airbag? still cover? hmm.gif
