step by step man.

root your phone first. use superoneclick.

it's easy. fucuk USB to laptop. make sure turn on debug on your mi700. then run superoneclick as admin.

Click "Root" button.

then run adb push su binary to the phone.

kokokranc, sorry for late reply, thanks for the img, unfortunately i can't download and upload you request right now. the only connection to the internet is from my office (i work in the middle of a jungle). The server block all the online storage.

I'll see if i can upload your request at saturday. to answer your question YES i still have the original recovery MI700.

Hey guys, I flashed the clockworkmod recovery v2.5.1.2 manually. Now the mi700 reboots into the green recovery menu and I can't seem to move the cursor with the volume keys. Can any one help? I'm stuck...

Need your guidance:

1. I install MapKing into Mi700, successful but upon opening it I get this: Invoke from “/sdcard/MapKing Data” Failed! any suggestion to solve this?

2. Also successfully install and open Papago x5, but in small screen, not full 7 inch, I knew some people have done it, but failed to Google the site, can help?

Tq in advance.

Bro, pls check the dir name in ur sdcard it should be "/MapKing Data" not "/MapKingData" the problem is from the MapKingData.exe
installer it rename the dir to /MapKingData instead of /MapKing Data that require by the program to run... biggrin.gif

hi all!

seems quiet these days. to keep it going, pls share the status of your mi700 now. is it in the storeroom, old cabinet, or still using it? icon_rolleyes.gif
as for me, i used this as portable wifi in the house now. occasionally use it to read news and /k/ and surf youtube. sometimes i do reply exchange mail through this device. thumbup.gif no problem at all 24/7 sharing digi internet smart plan. reasonable speed and got wpa2 encryption too

please do check out the xda forum. now the forum is active again with a few ROM releases (check it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1228 ). thinking of flashing cleanviewpad7 sometimes soon icon_idea.gif

Guys, is Honeycomb 3.2 compatible with this tablet? If so, are there any tuts for it?

Searched on Google but I can't find any(and the results only show Xoom, Flyer, etc..). Since M1700 isn't really that popular.

1. what to do with it?
first, read up http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015005
a) root it! use superoneclick v1.7
b) backup original rom using adb command shell
c) flash clockworkmod recovery by hucqim
d) flash any custom ROM that supports overclocking/undervolting.

2. skype? honestly, i don't know. last time i tried months ago, cannot video call

3. i don't think so. even GB still under development and yet to be released (unless you're willing to compile yourself). for more info, lurk around http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1225 . i have to agree it's not that popular, but there are developers willing to spend their time on this baby.

Saw this selling at RM699 (Tesco) recently. Good price for a starter tablet. Could replace portable dvd players on long car trips. smile.gif

I have my MI700 rooted and ClockWork modded. After trying to flash the custom roms (EUViewpad7 V1.7b, CleanViewpad7 V1.0), found that the MI700 always in the Airplane Mode ON, the phone and 3G function is lost. The WIFI works, and the pad ran very smoothly on EUViewpad7 Rom (from XDA)

I looked into the Setting / Wireless & networks, it showed the Airplane Mode "not checked", that means the Airplane mode was off, need advise from forumers on solving this issue, thanks.
