I tried their rom and it ran the Mi700 very smoothly and responsive. The rom had hardware acceleration enabled. FYI, MSM7227 has dedicated GPU which is the Andreno 200, the same used by the 1st generation Snapdragon processors. So, playing 3D games is not an issue.

Now i'm using the stock CSL rom with tweaks based on MoDaCo rom. Hardware acceleration enabled, removed unnecessary apps, add essential apps (in my opinion) to the system. I'm currently working on how to overclock the processor.

If you have the cash, go for SGT. If you want flash internet, go for SGT. If you want high resolution screen, go for SGT. If you want lots and lots of internal memory, go for SGT.

CSL is 90% of SGT in terms of performance and functionality. I don't think the extra 10% is worth the extra RM1000+.

I'm thinking of selling my Mi700 too. Not going to get SGT. Maybe an iPad instead.

I've make a custom rom based on 5012_3_16I which mean if you want to install this rom you have to update your rom from 5012_3_140 to 5012_3_16I at CSL Service Center for free..

What in this custom rom?
1)Deodexed Apps and Framework
2)Change the default wallpaper..you can change it yourself of course..
3)Useful apps such as market enabler, launcherpro, Rommanager, rootexplorer, titanium backup, Visionary+,and more
4)remove all CSL apps..

How to install?
1)backup your rom with rommanager
2)copy the custom rom to your sdcard root
3)install within rommanager "Install ROM from SD Card"
4)your phone will reboot and install the rom..once finish it will reboot itself..

Those using Mapking, make sure you are using the latest maps released in Oct , download free from Malsing . I used to use either Mapking and Garmin on my previous WM. Overall I prefer Mapking for its accuracy while Garmin for its more friendly user interface and POI suggestions. Each has its own pros and cons

Now on my Android I use PagoX5 and Google Maps brut 16. For most uptodate maps it is of course Google Maps - I use it when I am going to more rural areas and newly developed places. Dont worry about incurring data download it is negligible. Once i was at Spore I was using GM Brut 16 for about 5 hours driving , my data charges while on roaming not even RM2 and that includes downloading emails too every hour !!

Restore back using ROMManager or boot into recovery and restore..like I said perform backup before flashing..so that you could revert if anything goes wrong..This is why I made the ClockworkMod recovery for this Mi700..

If you get no network thats mean you have rom version 5012_3_140..you have to go to CSL SC and get it update to 5012_3_16I..You can check your rom version in setting/about at the bottom..

Those rom version are before you flash my custom rom or after?
Did you do Nandroid backup in ROMManager before flashing?If you do that before then you could just restore..

my orginal rom version is 5012_3_140..after update your custom to 5012_3_16I. no network only
i was backup but i try to restore  can't fail .i not sure some of files are missing for phone provider files

today i have became one of the member who own a MI700....
it cost me RM1550...
but there is a problem...
when i was trying to choose for the option of places that i wants to touch,
suddenly it jump to another place and choose another thing...
what is the problem actually?
i just need someone help me to explain this...

Is it happening all the time? Or intermittently? I'm having this problem too 3 hours after i left the shop. 

It doesn't happen often. Sent to service centre and they said they clean up the modules. Whatever that means.

Try using Multitouch Vis Test (download from Market) to test the touch screen.

today i sent to center,cant fix,in the end 1 to 1 replacement,because my screen is totally hav problem@@

I've create rom for you..still uploading it..in case you can't do wifi tether download Barnacle Wifi Tether from Market..sometimes you will get error doing portable wifi AP..but normal wifi no problem..its a bug in FRF91 build..
