Short answer is No. Not recommended also, battery drain. JB required and a JB only app needed, not sure whether IOS 4.2 can be JB or not. JB not allowed to discussed right?

not really recommend to do that because in long term it will spoil the battery. Since the ipad battery is not exchangeable easily it will cost u burden and time.

Added on December 12, 2010, 3:00 ambcos sync from iTunes library... so, it 'sync/autofill' all songs from da current library... bt my old song/songs alredy in da ipad is not in da library anymore

easy 2 say is when click 'sync', 1 popup wil come out, 'itunes wil replace/remove all current photos/songs from da ipad'... lik tat la

if you delete songs in itunes on pc, songs at ipad will be gone bcos itunes will synch both pc and ipad and you will get the same selection of songs on your pc.

haizzz, downside of iTunes/sync stuff... make simple things bcome very complicated... a real pain in da a$$

if u want to tether your iPAD to your laptop; first u MUST jailbreak..

then buy the PDANet or MiWi software available from Cydia Store

i know... there r certain programs/software tat is similar n more user friendy than iTunes... wil definitely consider it...

Yeah..really fed up with the itunes. Always pop up saying your content in iPad will be deleted everytime I want to add something to the iPad. And hate the Photo apps too. Can't create folders/categories in iPad.

Does anyone here knows how to downgrade from 4.2.1 back to 3.2.2 for my Ipad 3G 64GB?
If it is possible, can you pls let me know how to go about it? I kinda regretted having to upgrade to 4.2.1 since it disables some of the items I do use often.

Once downgraded, do I lose everything in my Ipad as well?

Basically, you need your old 3.2.2 shsh blob saved at cydia (jailbreak) server if you want to downgrade.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately i didn't back up my SHSH at all....
Is there a way to restore back to 3.2.2 without JB or the SHSH Blob?

edit : The reason I would go on 3.2.2 is that my ipad used to be able to support my memory card reader, via the Ipad Camera Connection kit. This makes it easier for me, as i do not have to carry a few camera specific cables whenever i travel, and just one multi-memory card reader would be sufficient.
Looks like now I m forced to carry a few cables around, and no more thumb drive too!
