Try merlin D27 CPC ON latest ( watch the release date ), if not satisfied, try D26 Mantaray XT CPC ON.

Is it possible to swap a NF7-S2 bios with a NF7-S V2.0?

I mean theoretically they use the same chipset and have similar features.

It's not hundred percent the same. There was a forumer here who accidentally did it, and he had to get his NF7 reflashed.

Hehehe memang dulu pernah pakai D26 MantaRays XT CPC ON.
Stock BIOS ABIT limit 218Mhz FSB je..Lebih dari tuh mula lahh ada ERROR & tak stable.Tapi D26 MantaRays XT 255Mhz FSB slamber jerk blahh!!Hurms rasa cam nak OC balik laa..Dah stahun lebih bersara dari OC nih hihihihi..

ok...i tried mantaray xt cpc and no cpc, merlin both cpc and no cpc.
all latest version. i get lower benchmark score on sisoft sandra at memory and cpu for the merlin modded bios. and also lower score on mantaray xt cpc on.
with mantaray xt cpc off, i get about same with the original v27 bios score. but no hope to get more than 205fsb at x10.5.

There's an issue with 10 n 10.5 multi on nf2. try to avoid these multi if possible....

i heard the modded bios has issues with 10 and 10.5 multiplier.

so that issue is correct ?

yeah..... with higher multi, onli get higher cpu clock. with higher fsb, will get higher bandwidth.

changed 1 stick of my DDR to DT-D43.

so now its, KINGMAX and DT-D43 @ 2.5 - 3 - 3 - 11

now its at 412 Mhz i think....

i know that it dropped.. hehe..

i tought at the mantaray xt change log there wrote bandwidth peak@10.5?

but now i oni got a DDR333 ram. so if i raise more FSB my kingston valueram cant hold it.

planning to buy another 2xDDR400 ram and sell my DDR333.

from my personal experience, this 10 n 10.5 multi bandwith is not consistent. it even bsod on me.

so do u think can i still lower my multi and raise my fsb to more than 200Mhz with this lousy KVR DDR333 ram on it?

i try to oc my ram to ddr400 with default 2.6v voltage but can get into windowsxp. it can POST.

2.6v is not enough la dude..... try 2.8 or 2.9. KVR carry lifetime warranty... so dun worry.....

Jangan pandang rendah KVR DDR333.
Aku dulu guna KVR DDR333 (Kingston Chipset Jerk..) gaks daily use run 233Mhz x 10.
2.5-3-4-11 @ 2.7Vdimm.Max pernah try 250Mhz FSB tapi test tak lama laa hihihi..
Stakat aku test 26 MantaRays XT laa takder problem ngn multiplier 10 @ 10.5..
Bila tukar KVR DDR400 DT-D43 pun memang aku suka guna multiplier 10 @ 11.5.
Biasanya daily use 220Mhz x 10.5 @ 233Mhz x 10...
