QUOTE(HiT-AbLe @ Aug 12 2005, 12:09 AM) Want to ask sifu here, which bios is good for CH-5 ram for NF7v2 board??? Also for CH-5 how high the FSB that it can reach? I'm using 2-3-2-11 timing, is there any other timing better than this? Do the 3.3v vdimm mod on ur nf7 and away you go with your overclocking. If I'm not mistaken, try going for Trats bios. It worked well for me Correct me if I'm wrong. This post has been edited by colinwong89: Aug 12 2005, 12:37 PM

My PC can't pass Prime Large FFT and Blend tests, and no matter how much I reduce my FSB, I still get problems. Increasing RAM timing doesnt help either. Maybe it's the motherboard.

I have a few BIOSes including the Mantarays D26, Trats D27 and Merlin's D26, which once was the best for me. Do you want them? I can send via email. This post has been edited by colinwong89: Oct 2 2005, 03:18 PM

Yeah... I got all my modded BIOS from there, with a little help from Sentential and others when I just got my NF7.

QUOTE(ryoko2505 @ Oct 11 2005, 09:01 PM) no laaa..not the same..nf7-s v2 has a D in the bios file..the one i flashed with don't have D..that's the problem...help.... It's the same. All the modded BIOS I have been using are NF7-S BIOSes. If you check Abit's website, the source of the BIOS file for the NF7 and the NF7-S are the same. Check OCForums.com, they don't have separate sections for the NF7 and NF7-S, because they are all the same. Maybe you have flashed a v1.2 NF7 BIOS to your V2.0 motherboard? This thread is still alive and kicking... no new releases since Trats' D27 BIOS?
No new stuff from Merlin and tictac?

QUOTE(satanhead2003 @ Jan 23 2006, 08:27 PM) Abit off topic here, collin, from ur sig, ur bt-d43, ur' running 3.3v? wah... from the official whitepaper, D43 operating volt is 2.5v ~ 2.7v onli. Y u pump so much volt? at ur mem timing, using 2.7v-2.8v oso can, unless u wan them to run 2-2-2-11 or 2.5-2-2-11 ( onli if they capable lah ). Better lowered ur ram voltage. Just my 2 cent. Thanks for the tip, but the reason I'm doing this is because my NF7 can't take high FSB speeds (I don't know why, it tends to crap out on me), and my Sempron is reaching it's limits. I know D43s are for FSB, not timings, but let's just say that I'm trying a different approach. So, I did a few tests and I found that I could lower down a timing by feeding 3.3v to my D43s at low FSB speeds. So why not? Nice to see that you are lucky with your D43s, satanhead2003.

I can't set CPU Interface to Off, if I do that my PC wouldn't even start at all.

QUOTE(satanhead2003 @ Jan 28 2006, 05:28 PM) I thought upping the Vagp to increase stability only works for the P4 chipsets? I tried upping the voltage before, but I don't get any increase in stability or overclocking.

The Vcore fluctuate mod was found by Tictac and another popular forumer in Tictac's website before.

satanhead2003, what BIOS are you currently using right now? Tictac's D26 Mantarays if I'm not mistaken?

QUOTE(sakaic @ Mar 6 2006, 11:19 PM) Hi...need your opinion. Is it possible to swap a NF7-S2 bios with a NF7-S V2.0? I mean theoretically they use the same chipset and have similar features. It's not hundred percent the same. There was a forumer here who accidentally did it, and he had to get his NF7 reflashed.

QUOTE(pig@dog @ May 22 2006, 02:11 PM) im gonna mod it to mantaray xt 2t later haha and you should too coz it will give ya 30% more perfomance! 30% more performance? Are you sure? It increases the timings on your RAMs, instead making it slower if you compare 1T with 2T on same FSB, RAM timings and RAM settings... but you will get more headroom for overclocking.
