Getting Started

|
Went patrolling the area yesterday, got lorries dumping earth into lake & tractor levelling it. Looks like the lake wil b a pond 1 day .. The road leading to condo not so good cos quite deserted.
After that went to wharf site, it looks quiet, got hoarding but no activity. The surrounding doesn't look so good, unlike the puchong prima area further north which has an upmarket feel.

Perhaps the developer trying to reclaim the land near the lake to build the condo kakaka....

Unless they build a road from ldp along the ditch, direct access ! Think thinkx3 stil can't imagine a hilton in puchong. Maybe after 5-7 years different situation .. most area in puchong are ex-mining land it's really up to the developer on how well they do the land-filling (so far, didn't hear any problems from those developers) even the famous Lake Edge by YTL is on ex-mining land

Well, try to avoid the ex-mining land if possible although people claimed that if the mining activities is not within the last 50 years. Last time when I want to purchase a house I did take a look at the units "Lake Edge" which developed by YTL and a bit disappointed to see some wall cracks at the kitchen (largely due to mining soil which is softer and not compact). Lastly I ended with my current staying units in Bandar Puteri.

r u sure the cracks is from the soil? hair-line crack and large crack is 2 different things all together as i have friend working with Lake Edge project, don't think your claim is valid as i know YTL have gone extra miles to ensure the proper land-filling of this
as for bdr puteri, i know those old phases on top of the hill have foundation problem. the new one don't have this problem that's 100% valid as i come to know 2 victims on this problem there
so, it's really up to the developer and architect on how well they do the land-filling and soil management.
for this project, do u think a berhad company will risk their reputation to build something (3 blocks of condo, mind me) on top of something which is not stable?

It's not a tiny line crack but can see like some impact causing the line which is wider than the hair especially on a kitchen part which located at centre of the house. I like the place as due to the environment and the facilities but being put off by the bad impression during my viewing. Probably the unit I'm viewing is not in a proper condition or may cause by something else but it does not bother me anymore, I'm just merely sharing my experience.
My house located at the hill but not the tallest part, so far so good (touch wood).

Well...not all 'berhad company' value their reputation....case in point... a company by the name of 'T@L@M Corp Berhad'... So...beware...
