Limited?
Yeah right.

Well the Sinanju stand has a larger base than the Unicorn to show off the Neo Zeon chest plate. whistling.gif

And oh yeah... got the GP02A today... bummer... bye bye $$$$ i'm going broke.

At 1/48 it should be much easier to paint.

The HGUC's gold/yellow stripes on the armour will be a worse nightmare.

Oversized skirt armours... Meh.

Nevertheless with the Zeta II-like transformation in place, MG Delta Plus seems not that far away. Again, no bigass FA Hyaku Shiki Kai beam launcher = fail.

But seriously, this HGUC has so many tiny little details that need painting... really sick of it already.

Nah... the MG GP02 is very wobbly due to the old joints. This HGUC is stiff like a rock, which is good considering the gigantic shield and bazooka.

QUOTE(Parody @ Sep 11 2010, 12:26 PM)

It can, but i wouldn't put it there for long because my HG GP02A's hand peg still broke because of the shield's weight.

*
The handle of the my GP02's shield broke... now waiting for superglue to dry T_T...

I guess it's gonna be beam sabre on the left hand instead of the shield, unless the handpeg is superglued as well... oh yeah bro parody show your GP02 here too... need inspiration for posing this fat guy.

Man this is one big mofo.

GP02 are same size with Sazabi? unsure.gif i decide want to buy it after saw your pic
*
Sazabi is still taller although the GP02 will look wider when the thrusters are extended up and outwards. Will do a comparison with the Sazabi some time later.

EFSF units are usually more detailed than Zeonic suits which are smoother and rounder looking. However this means lots of painting needed to touch up the details.

Anyway, I'm also aiming at this MG GP02A but always 'skipped' for newer gundam. laugh.gif
*
From the reviews it seems that the MG is a pain in the butt due to poor articulation and weak joints that cannot support the accessories.
HGUC is my preferred choice now due to $$ and time constraints, especially newer ones which have great proportions and articulations.

the new mg death scythe not my cup of tea. still in hope bandai will come out with endless waltz version death scythe!

Be patient... the runners have obvious signs for part separation... Bandai only needs to chuck in the batwings, change a few armour pieces here and there and voila ! MG DHC... It's inevitable, just a matter of time.

QUOTE(afsarudy @ Sep 12 2010, 12:24 AM)
WHY MAKE MORE 1/144 SCALE RATHER THAN 1/100 SCALE???
cry.gifcry.gif
*
Coz HG 1/144 is easier to make... People have more expectations towards MGs due to their high costs. If they don't come with enough gimmicks to justify the price then it'll get bashed, e.g. The O.

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Sep 12 2010, 12:25 AM)
that MG Deathscythe is already EW ver lar... but i dont understand why it called EW ver and why not ver.KA? in anime Deathscythe dont look like this doh.gif

later upcoming MG Deathscythe Hell Custom will called ver.KA sweat.gif
*
The ver Ka Deathscythe is called EW version because in the EW OVA the Katoki redesigned gundams are actually the "same" suits as the TV versions, just different aesthetically. Hence thinking backwards, this ver Ka Deathscythe = original Deathscythe in the EW setting, hence known as EW version.

Some people say ver Ka MGs are the ones where Katoki has a say in the gunpla development... I say it's a selling gimmick more than anything else. All ver Ka MGs are units designed by Katoki, but not all Katoki units bear the label ver Ka.

Very confusing eh... tell that to Bandai.

Custom designed Stamen + Orchis. Not sure how canon it is though, might just be a fan art.

Comparison with Sazabi. The red beast is still significantly larger.

The hand peg broke T_T... hence I superglued it and in order to be able to switch between sabres and shield, I cut the bottom of the shield handle so that it can slot into the now undetachable left hand. This ordeal left me with a bloody thumb, a blunt knife, and a messy looking shield handle; yet it's now easier to change accessories biggrin.gif

Yeahs !
1. It's one big, fat mofo.
2. Bigass cannon is full of win.
3. Very stiff joints means that none of the parts will sag.
4. Lots of tiny details compared to the Zaku F2.
5. The shoulder thrusters are designed in a superb way that it can swivel in quite a huge range of directions. Great job Bandai !
6. Love the stand... one of the reasons that I chose this in the end instead of the MLRS.
7. ABS V-fin means you're less likely to break it... very important since you're likely to hit the head while manipulating the bazooka.

Mehs...

1. Very stiff joints also mean you're likely to snap something if you play with the joints too often or apply too much force.
2. Lots of tiny details also mean paintjob nightmare.
3. The location of many of the seam lines are too obvious - forearms and shoulder thrusters are the main culprits.
4. No polycap for the hand socket... sure it adds stability but god it's hard to rotate the fists for posing.... again, very likely to snap something (I snapped the handpeg).
5. Bazooka's scope is useless as it hits the side of the head when deployed.
6. Ball-socket hips, like the Sazabi's, mean they'll pop out very easily while posing... Not forgetting the limited range of motions too. Zaku F2 wins in this aspect.
7. Makes me want to buy more 0083 kits !! They better not release the Xamel in HGUC otherwise I'll go broke. Must... resist temptation... Rick Dom II... Kariussssss....

vmad.gif Y didn't Bandai include articulated fingers for the MG victory gundam. I was enjoying the build until I came to assembling the fingers. They did it for the miniature F91!!  cry.gif  . Instead we got HG style fingers that are fixed. Give both types lar..

That's what you get when you don't look for reviews before purchasing a kit tongue.gif

At least you won't complain of weapons dropping off with those fixed fists.

QUOTE(ITforce @ Sep 15 2010, 11:13 AM)
Real grade inner frame intention is good but the plastic quality and ball joint really sucks. I just assemble my rg gundam and guess what. Its inner frame on both  legs which uses ball joints easily came off when I just bend the legs and it cannot stick back already. Spoil d. The plastic of inner frame also sucks whereby I bend the right leg, d plastic broken and left leg plastic frame becomes kinda whitish color which is like gonna break if I bend more. The white plastic of body is thin and easily break. Really disappointed with rg quality.
*
The leg joints of the RG is one of the most criticised cons of the kit... It's simply too small and fragile to be deemed a good kit.

The shopkeeper from where I got my kits in Melbourne tried to persuade me into buying the RG when I went to get the GP02... told him that I already got the MG2.0 and it is a much superior kit; and he actually bullshit-ed me saying that it's like a 1/144 scale PERFECT GRADE. Dude thinks I'm a newbie in gunpla when most of us here probably know more than he does.

Proportion wise, it doesn't really differ much from the 1/60 SF; which is already the best 1/60 kit by itself.
The tiny bits on the wings make the design look too messy and hopefully they are sturdy enough. Funny that the wings don't spread evenly to produce the 'angel wing' effect as often shown in the anime.

Then again, it's a freaking PG which I 1) can't afford 2) don't care.

should I wait for 30th anniversary or go down to Endah Parade coz Sri Petaling is bloody far
*
Don't bet on it. The Physalis is not famous enough to warrant a 30th anniversary version, plus 0083 is made in the 1990 so it's not even 30 years old yet.

The 30th anniversary RX78 is a decent HGUC for those who can't stand the retro design of the original HGUC... or you can spend a bit more of the RG.
