Because the ver Ka deathscythe is the least well known amongst all the different deathscythe designs.

And people are all waiting for the inevitable DHC... bad move Bandai.

OVA version has
1) head vulcans
2) slightly better knee articularion
3) different decals
4) blue beam sabres instead of pink
5) different coloured weapons

If you really had to choose, it'd be the OVA version... it's a no brainer.
Then again, size aside you're better off buying both the HGUC Unicorn and NTD - better articulation and you'll have some spare change left.

The GSD 1/100 series were notorious for being poor sellers and even required massive discounts for store owners to clear their stock due to the anime's relative lack of popularity.

Seed craze is now almost over, and even the new mix-mash crap designs of seed vs astrays didn't really create much hoohah. Seed frame astray didn't even get proper gunpla kits released.

00 is Bandai's latest fad and let's see whether they will be able to last the test of time. The fanbase is still big but I doubt any of the alternate universe series mechas will surpass UC due to the latter's complex storyline and constant revisions of gunpla kits.

Well, not exactly correct since there's still no MG Mudroch/Mudrock (depending on translation) nor MG 7th unit. The latter has a HGUC thanks to the new video game but Murdoch remains relatively unknown and not even 1 official kit was released.

In the CE universe all 4 GAT-X gundams apart from Aegis share the same frame as they are from the same family. Aegis technically uses similar parts for limbs but due to the transformation mechanism its torso is quite different. But you can see the same parts in particularly the arms and the calves of all GAT-X series units.

Astrays too use many similar parts as the GAT-Xs as well as they were developed by Orb during the same time that they helped EA in building the gundams.

Just some in-universe trivia for those who gives a crap about CE... CE's technical background is actually quite detailed compared to other AUs such as W and X, but once they decided to turn it into a super robot show after mid-season of Seed and then later GSD; everything went downhill.

The Super Custom Zaku has boobs !
Other than that it's just a HGUC F2 with its accessories messily strapped all over its body.

MG Zaku II v2.0...
get Char's S type for awesomeness;
get J type for missile pods;
get F type for door knob two bazooka choices but you can only assemble one at a time;
get Minelayer for funky backpack;
get R1 (black tristar or shin matsunaga ver) for fat legs, cool colour scheme, and two bazooka choices but again only one can be used;
get Johnny Ridden for the largest Zeonic bazooka (apart from the Rick Dom's beam bazooka) but this time you can use both of them together, however you lose the most knee articulation due to R2's fat legs.

Minelayer, R1, and R2 are much more expensive and unless you're willing to pay the extra 1000 yen you're better off sticking with the normal S/F/J types.

There's also the older F2 where you get missile pods, rockets, bazooka, and rifle all together; yet in typical Bandai fashion the Zeon version comes with the 90mm rifle while the EFSF version has the 120mm + grenades.

There's no perfect MG Zaku unfortunately as Bandai wants you to buy 'em all to get the full set of kits.

Waittttt.... moulded entirely in red? At least give some black pieces for the chest mah.... another masking and painting nightmare.

Another reason why I prefer Okawara's Deathscythe is the retractable scythe and dual blade mode. Thank you Bandai for using Katoki's version so that I can save 4000yen.

I mourn the loss of ngeekhiong EX more than ngeekhiong gunpla news. Gunpla news can still be easily found on various sites and forums, e.g. www.toy-world.com.hk but the detailed WIP that ngeekhiong does for his EX blog will always be missed.

Anyway.... 2 weeks before HGUC Sinanju !!!!

Foil stickers are ugly.
I only use them for tiny bits like sensors although the leftover silver parts are great for adding detail to hydraulic pipes as shown below.



The HGUC Sinanju's parts will be more difficult to paint than the MG due to its smaller size, but hell it's worth giving it a go. If I mess it up there's always the option of applying the foil stickers over it.

And Bandai... HGUC Xamel please although only reasonable articulation it will have is, well, none.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I don't see any reason why we cannot praise or criticise the kits.
Ngee Khiong has his reasons to stop writing and we should all respect that. Yes, it's a pity, but there are many other blogs and forums around for information regarding toys.

I just hope that he doesn't stop gunpla-ing and continues to review kits as he does an awesome job in his reviews.

And seriously, you're better off with the original Blitz rather than the mix n' match designs of seed frame astray.

Karius was in a Rick Dom II.

HGUC Dom Tropens look more menacing but the normal type lacks accessories compared to the desert colour version. Both Dom Tropen and Rick Dom II suffer the same problem i.e. lack of swiveling shoulders compared to the later-released Dom/Rick Dom.

I personally prefer Dom Tropen the most but Rick Dom II will fit my GPO2 better. Will wait for the Sinanju to be released first then sapu both at once. Now no time to pasang.
