been messing around with a solution to the dreaded banshee+marine+thor combo (with some vikings) and i find the best solution is going heavy stargate...

2 stargate for some early phoenix into carriers with the catapult upgrade...
work pretty well (and throw in a mothership as a timely vortex is jz auto win lol)

i always think chargelots are a must...
they will help tank the damage from your other units (colossus are usable here)...
and they'll friendly fire...
and other combo would be fine after taht =p

i am really afraid of marine tank banshee raven + scvs now (like yesterday's gsl)...

more towards terran since i hardly having practice wit zerg but loving PvZ nony style +1 2 base timing...

best bet is sitll colossus...
and get templar wit amulet so u can warp fresh HT for storm when u get emp...

its 3 gate, nt 4 gate...
the blink one is possible as i always do it for my PvP now...


Added on November 25, 2010, 2:55 pmbtw the one huk said is a much slower imho compared to a standard 4 gate (and there is no scouting based on the optimizer/ travel time to build etc)...
its more to a counter to 4gate than a agressive build...

taht's why any toss who go 2 sentry auto loose to thor rush...

look at nony's build for the 2base +1 5gate build...
its very common and only the good zergs are able to mount a challenge to it...
otherwise if ur FF is solid enough, u would have a better time in beating the zerg...
do note if this fail to do enough damage, the zerg would kill u with ease...

as for thors?
jz get more gateway units and start focus firing...
i am a macro based player and i feel getting more shit in his face is the way to win =p

it can handle roach pretty well but hydras is GG for u (fall back and go colossus)...

imba when used right and in high number...
had a guy raged on me yesterday when: -
- FF him and his partner's army
- FF his ramp while my partner whoop his army

but for 1v1 against good players, 1 bad FF is game over for u instantly...
since unlike 2v2 etc u can FF and ur partner have the dps, 1v1 u dun have enuff dps if u commit to sentry heavy...

ya saw this the night it was out...
to be frank its mostly the zerg playing bad...
the solution to FF is to pull back...
force the sentry to dry out the juice (incontrol lost to the ranked 17 zerg when his sentry dry off)...

which is why i advice my zerg frens to go burrow...
though i would say blink stalkers is really good when u have the micro and be VERY VERY aggressive (cant let the roach count get too high to 1shot burst stalkers)

u can look at most NA toss replays...
they do this alot (not much on the korean side)...

u can delay the zerg expo by putting 1 pylon at that spot (or if u are terran a 90% completed ebay so u can cancel it back for 75 minerals lol)...
or u can double pylon below his ramp with cannons (or if u are terran double bunker)...

of course while doing that beware of nydus...
this opponent is really weak against nydus and we saw so many toss died to nydus...

u gotta be very defensive after that both ur front and possible nydus behind as ur gate would be much slower...
