I am thinking of getting either the razer blackwidow ultimate / alienware tactx keyboard / gigabyte k8100.
They all have positive and negative

blackwidow nice build can last long but a little bit expensive

alienware tactx great build nice design can change backlight color and great keys

gigabyte k8100 nice design great control and cheap

I like to play in the dark so I need a backlighting keyboard

hmm, personally, i wouldnt bother with razer products, too many probs. iirc, the BWU has key problems, no?

alienware tactx - yeah this one looks nice, but it's kinda pricey, it's near 300 right? i would still go for k8100 because it's cheap and has good control, looks very nice too. unless you're interested in duckies, i know someone whose selling a white LED red switch ducky shine for RM400.

Seriously, Blackwidow isn't exactly the best built mechanical keyboard out there.

And I doubt that you will level look at your keyboard when you are GAMING?

actually the real price of alienware tactx is over 300, what are duckies by the way?

oh yeah I remember now, but isn't ducky even more expensive than razer? I think i'll settle with gigabyte k8100

hmm, depends on what you get, they're expensive but much better than BWU. yeah, just go for k8100.

Hi everybody, I just bought the gigabyte k8100, the macro buttons works perfect, the touch volume and the usb ports are working but the keyboard isnt working. I have already installed all the drivers. Can anyone help me? Oh yeah, I'm connecting the keyboard to my alienware laptop

if its a mmo, and he has whole load of skills mapped thru out the keys of his keyboards, then yes.

people differ from one another, who is to say everyone has no need to look at the keyboard while using it.

If you often played a game. You should at least having certain level of mastery or muscle memory on where and which to be pressed, without even looking at them.

If you still spend time watching which keys you are pressing, I doubt you can perform well(no offense). A second away from screen can be quite deathly sometimes.

true, no doubt about that. however personally, sometimes in a critical situation, i would risk a glance and make sure i press the right key, making sure i pop the right cool down off instead of something else thus throwing the match.
i guess whatever that floats each of our boats then.

Don't forget Razer Anansi too. Before getting Alienware TactX , my choice either TactX, Anansi or Blackwidow because of their extra keys that I really need it as MMO player

logitech g510 or sidewinder x4? still can't decide between this 2

I would go for the G510. At least the keycaps won't fade away like the X4
