QUOTE(andrewtho @ Dec 24 2011, 10:51 AM) I know it's available but I cannot find a one with a good body. Most of the mech keyboards are pretty fragile. Haha. Just wondering where I can find the x4, since most of the shops that I know are not selling it. ![]() Except for Razer BW series, I haven even heard of any fragile mech keyboard. SS7G with truck BTW, X4 is EOL product dy. If you really do want find it, be sure to chunk out the more expensive price as only those places which sell it at higher price will still have stocks left unsold. Added on December 24, 2011, 11:22 pm QUOTE(andrewtho @ Dec 24 2011, 06:09 PM) I never say that Steelseries is the only one with a steel plate. If you look at Das and Ducky, they look rather fragile in terms of outlook. Filco keyboards are quite light too. Filco is light? BTW, if you insist using the term "fragile", the Corsair K90(and K60) looks even more fragile with it's lack of upper and side case design. In other words, keyboard with diodes inside with ps/2 connection got a high chance to had NKRO(mean all keys can be registered).
For the same keyboard if connected using USB port, the most it will get is only 6KRO(6keys). Of course for those boar with no diodes, be it ps/2 or USB, it won't go far till over 10KRO. Many modern Mechanical Keyboard(year 2010-2011) however is using a new way(mostly multiple controller or some other ways) which allow over 18KRO over USB port, which is quite a remarkable break through. However, many of them do suffer from certain problems, especially compatibility with other OS such as linux/Mac. P/S: Microsoft X4, a membrane keyboard also able to achieve over 18KRO under USB port. |

If you want to wait for local set, I can only advice you better had some nice patient for it, as it probably won't come anything faster than 1-2 months. QUOTE(javidben @ Apr 7 2012, 07:18 PM) I am thinking of getting either the razer blackwidow ultimate / alienware tactx keyboard / gigabyte k8100. Seriously, Blackwidow isn't exactly the best built mechanical keyboard out there. They all have positive and negative blackwidow nice build can last long but a little bit expensive alienware tactx great build nice design can change backlight color and great keys gigabyte k8100 nice design great control and cheap I like to play in the dark so I need a backlighting keyboard And I doubt that you will level look at your keyboard when you are GAMING? |

QUOTE(Ken.shin- @ Apr 9 2012, 01:03 AM) if its a mmo, and he has whole load of skills mapped thru out the keys of his keyboards, then yes. If you often played a game. You should at least having certain level of mastery or muscle memory on where and which to be pressed, without even looking at them.people differ from one another, who is to say everyone has no need to look at the keyboard while using it. If you still spend time watching which keys you are pressing, I doubt you can perform well(no offense). A second away from screen can be quite deathly sometimes. QUOTE(nadeng1987 @ Dec 13 2013, 03:18 PM) Need to get advice from you guys. Cm qfr is a good board.I'm keen to buy a mechanical keyboard and now I got myself a deal for CM quickfire rapid @ RM200 (used)? Worth the money or is there any other good mech keyboards shud i get? If you are okay with 2nd hand item and the board is fully functional with warranty (recently a guy bought a 2nd hand qfr with a faulty alt), then it is ok to get it. Alternatively, you can buy chinabrands mech kb from taobao for a little more than that. |

QUOTE(nadeng1987 @ Dec 13 2013, 04:12 PM) Thanks for the reminder. The keyboard is claimed in good working cond by the seller. Will go and check it myself. As i cannot really find any cheaper minimalis mechanical keyboard any better than this quickfire tho. We bet to differ. Anyhow, went to browse at taobo, and I can assure that the price there isn't that cheap http://s.taobao.com/search?q=keycool&searc...d=s5-e&search=y Pay a visit to mech kb thread, we can teach you more on taobao keyboard shopping there if you wish to.
