Arctosa doesn't have audio ports or USB ports. It's just the most basic 'gaming' keyboard in the Razer keyboard line. If you comparing with Lycosa, then the difference is just the backlite, audio ports and the USB ports. Oh, and the touch panel. Arctosa media control is not touch panel.

i see, i thought arctosa using touch panel also
but the audio port is quite troublesome also
u need to connect the audio cable into the audio port then if u are using speaker then u have to unplug it again,
u have to use audio splitter then only u can switch between speaker or headset
i'm using logitech g510 there are only 1 usb cable for keyboard and integrated audio on keyboard,
haven't try it yet so not sure whether enough power supply for the headset or not

Does anyone have an opinion regarding mechanical keyboard?
Tried using them, found them surprisingly pleasant to use. Has anyone used this kind of keyboard for gaming?

Yeah its pretty comfy for gaming.
I use a Steel Series Mechanical keyboard. Its just a wee bit noisy but not a issue when you've got headphones on.
Response is pretty fine.

Lotsa people used mech KB for gaming, claims to have better feedback and enhance their precision, typing on is is pleasant as well but the price tag is higher than those of membrane keys and they are usually noisier too,

why don't you go to the mech KB thread and ask there? smile.gif

Like everything else, you need to specify budget then everyone can make recommendations on that.
New Mechkeyboards can be had from RM150+ to RM1000 and beyond smile.gif

I don't think TS is watching this thread anymore sad.gif . BTW I'm looking for more reliable keyboard for gaming, budget RM 100-200(can add more if I cut budget for summer sales),no need bling-bling anymore. Currently using OCZ Alchemy.

Well.. for reliability can trust Logitech IMO.. the G105 has green LED backlighting and 6 macro keys over 3 profiles, at about RM190 its probably worth it

Frankly speaking, for your budget less than 200 or if you hope that is less than 150, what you get will just like a very ordinary keyboard and you paid the money just for the brand and gimmick thingy.

If you insist, I will suggest try logitech, for example, not offensive but for me Razer arctosa or lycosa just "rubbish". A keyboard below RM100 may serve better.

Personally not so recommend X4 or X6, but just my preference and opinion.

1st, the keycap surface just very slippery.
2nd, if I not mistaken (not sure for X4), they are using butterfly layout, compare the WASD area, they keysize and position are slightly different for most of the keyboard.

I want to ask, what are the options for cheap, less faulty compact (87 keys) keyboards?
And is there like very expensive compact keyboard brands?
