I'm gonna give up on my 6Gv2. Moving over to a Sidewinder X4. I know i am downgrading but I really dont like the Black switches. My fingers are filled wit blisters -.- I need a softer keyboard. I gave up looking for MX Red switches, I am anti-Logitech, so I'll go with the Sidewinder X4.
Problem is, where can i find one in Subang/ PJ area? And what is the current market price? Hikari selling it for 199RM. |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Dec 24 2011, 12:04 AM) Cherry MX Red is already available in Malaysia. just no one talking about it I know it's available but I cannot find a one with a good body. Most of the mech keyboards are pretty fragile. Haha. Anyway, Sidewinder X4 is a good choice as well. Just wondering where I can find the x4, since most of the shops that I know are not selling it. |

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Dec 24 2011, 02:15 PM) seriously, they are not fragile, and have steel plated as reinforcement, please do not think steelseries are the first one that do steel plated. I never say that Steelseries is the only one with a steel plate. If you look at Das and Ducky, they look rather fragile in terms of outlook. Filco keyboards are quite light too.Mechanical Keyboard existed long time ago with Steel as a reinforcement and stabilizing the keyboard, They are a standard among mechanical keyboard. If you're interested about the history, look at IBM model M model or older Cherry Industrial class Mechanical Keyboard. |

Paying over RM300 for a rubber dome keyboard is not a good investment at all. Even if you want fancy lights, there are always other cheaper alternatives. For RM300+, you can purchase a more solid Mechanical keyboard, which can last longer and perform better than rubber domes. Just my 2 cents.

QUOTE(cslance @ Jul 27 2012, 01:58 AM) hi all the keyboard sifu, i looking for keyboard which price between rm 150-200 since low budget. could you guys pls recommend 1 for me. i had really no idea on gaming keyboard. if the price for mechanical keyboard just need to top up a bit, pls let me know. and also if your used machanical keyboard want to sell also can pm to me.. will consider based on your price and keyboard condition. thx Look at previous posts for answers. There are a few recommendations for budget range of yours. Microsoft Sidewinder X4 or X6, Gigabyte Aivia K800, Logitech G110 or add a little more, G510.Mech keyboards that are sold in Malaysia are usually more expensive than most 'gaming keyboards' price range from 250-god knows. You can search for Ducky 1008 or CM Storm Qucik Fire Rapid. This post has been edited by andrewtho: Jul 27 2012, 10:15 AM |

QUOTE(jasmineivan @ Jul 28 2012, 07:24 PM) For me X4 and X6 are disaster, the keycap too slippery and the butterfly layout too annoying. X4 would be a better bang for bucks. The layout is personal preference, not everyone has the same thinking, so its hard to judge based on the layouts. Some may like it, some may not.Added on July 28, 2012, 7:25 pm I think Leopold can be recommend also. |

QUOTE(light bulb @ Aug 30 2012, 03:36 PM) Get logitech g105 which is priced around rm150. there's also g110 if you dont mind to top up another rm50. these are rubber dome keyboard though. mechanical keyboards especially the one with backlight like ducky DK9008G2 are probably gonna cost you a bomb. see compuzone pricelist. FYI, Ducky 9008G2 does not have backlight functions. If you mean 9008S, which stands for Shining. The 9008G2 is no longer in production, making way for a new replacement, 9008G3. Will set you back around 430+-. |

QUOTE(Clem1982 @ Sep 5 2012, 04:03 PM) Sorry to tell you this but you have been conned... the G510 sells for RM219 in LYP since last year when I got mine, practically everything is overpriced in the IT fair.. very dissapointed... and BTW the G110 should be still available in LYP as well Yeah, I bought mine for RM218 in All IT @ Digital Mall Section 14 2 months back. PC Fair bundles all those rubbish that you do not need and called it as 'free gifts' |

QUOTE(Eden-Teror @ Dec 3 2012, 02:22 PM) Looking for Keyboard under Rm100 Bro, that budget can only get you a low range Logitech keyboard at best. USB can only get you a maximum of 6 key roll overs. Unless you have an adapter that converts from USB to PS/2, PS/2 is NKRO (No key roll over) and it does not have a limited to number of key presses. But there are a few keyboards that has NKRO over USB, but it does not come cheap. For instance, Ducky 9008G2, full NKRO over USB.-Multi-key press (at least 7 keys) -Smooth/Silent -Good looking -Backlight/illuminated(if got ) -Water spilled resistant I would recommend if you add a little more to your budget, at least you can get decent boards like Microsoft Sidewinder X4 or Logitech g110. |

QUOTE(hustlerism @ Apr 20 2013, 04:34 PM) Doesnt have to be a mechanical. Logitech has a few good keyboards that caters your budget. Around RM100, you can try the G110 or if add a little more, G510 is pretty decent too. There is a basic mech keyboard going for rm199 I think, Ducky Zero. |

Mech keyboards are boards they uses Cherry switches instead of the commom rubber domes that you find in your everyday keyboard. Wide range of colours with different feel. Google up for more. There is a basic mech keyboard going for rm199 I think, Ducky zero.
