For a2sd+ at least (never use the old a2sd), connect to pc as usb storage is NOT affected - widgets, apps still intact

It's only affected if you use froyo native a2sd

Right... no need - you missed one step, before wiping you also wanna consider doing a nandroid backup

Titanium backup is used when your system is wiped and new ROM is installed - you restore old apps and settings into this new environment

Nandroid backup is to backup the current state of your system - let's say you failed during flashing process or you're not happy with the new ROM, it's possible for you to recover it to the last working version

update.zip got nothing special, since the newer version of recovery tool you can flash any zip file in SD card

The bootscreen is normal since it's modified - FYI, that's the bootscreen of Nexus One

I haven take Peep and Teeter out

Friendstream is still working for me - it's just that the sync Twitter account is gone (only left flickr and facebook for me)

No particular reasons - other than the fact that it's running quite stable and it's also close to the stock HTC sense UI

I thought contacts should be backed-up if you run a full backup, I store my contacts in GMail, but my SMS and stuffs could be restored properly. I always do full backup

I thought it was the case i first two days (always at "E") but found out that it was Maxis issue... Now I get back "H" in some areas

It shouldn't be caused by NextSense based on what Neophyte changed in the ROM (it still uses same Radio, uses same HTC Sense OTA build just added some tweaks and add-ons)

I purchased mine from the Market... anyway I don't mind spending the money since setCPU is really useful

I notice that my A2SD+ partitioned SD Card will not be detected by Windows via Card reader - it says "SD Card is not formatted, do you want to format now?"

Not really an issue as I can always connect as disk drive via USB cable, but just a finding

Btw, NextSense 5.2 ROM is out, a lot of updates it seems

Easily reaches 13XX (downclocked it to 806Mhz it still can reach 11XX to 12XX). NextSense 5.2 link isn't up yet btw

Original theme is the one that resembles stock HTC bar

NextSense theme is the one with transparent bar

Other than that not much difference I think

profiles:
screen off, Priority 100, 384 max, 245 min, userspace
battery <25%, priority 50, 576 max, 245 min, on demand

Yes noticed the green and red line, doesn't look that nice, wondering if that's a bug

Downloading NextSense 5.2 and will flash it soon

1. Full wipe is recommended (but not needed if you have nextsense flashed already)
2. I always recover apps + system data (but I try not to replace the system apps because newer version of ROM may have newer version of system apps)

Alternatively, netcounter, it can track wifi usage too

btw, what's the android garage thing? and what did you guys do to get invited?

Added on August 14, 2010, 10:21 amI am testing NextSense 5.2 now, notable differences:

- Added HomeSwitcher and you can switch between different UI (I still prefer HTC Sense!)
- Added "Powersave", "Performance" and "Interactive" governer for setcpu...
- Smooth as usual.. no major bug
- Brut Maps stockified (by squrl) - you don't have to have two Google maps in the OS now, and there's no "Brut" watermark on the logo
- New version of "Superuser Permission"
- Lockscreen is changed to the transparent one again, but it's possible to revert to Android default still (I prefer that one!)
- 14 new wallpapers... but somehow they are all gone after I restored stuffs via Titanium Backup -.-
