QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 16 2010, 09:22 AM) I think NextSense do come with Apps2SD+ Regarding the 5.08 radio, you can always flash it in after you finish flashing the ROM Yes, you can partition SD with ROM Manager Alright, thanks. Hopefully gonna do flashing by today. Bored with default FroYo already QUOTE(volcane @ Aug 16 2010, 09:29 AM) Did not notice any difference on the performance, try speedtest.net, getting similar score around 1.5Mbps download for Maxis. Are you running that specified radio? Guess thats the limitation of our provider then

Anyone changed to NextSense 5.3 already? How good is it especially in battery comsumption? Downloaded it but reluctant to flash And apparently there is a HTCSync 3.0 around for the Wildfire that was said to be working with all FroYo HTC Phones. If you are eager to download, here it is : Source : http://rootmydroid.co.uk/uncategorized/new...se-of-htc-sync/Wonder how the iTunes syncing is working This post has been edited by akachester: Aug 16 2010, 12:40 PM

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Aug 16 2010, 01:26 PM) I've a 100% charged battery at 9am, I turn wifi on all the time with some occasional syncing, Gtalk-ing and web surfing Now I have 82% left Erm..That seems ok to me. Cause even on Eclair, it wont left me with much either. Cause my friend told me 5.2 is very battery hungry. Gotta redownload all the drivers and root again then

Doing rooting and backup now using Nandroid. Anyway, is backing up via Nandroid really required? I remember i skip this skip for all the rooting i have done previously and even i have backup, i always format my SD after that, thus, equal no backup.

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 16 2010, 03:02 PM) ^ The only time I did nandroid was when I still on Eclair I did as well but after that, i always skip that section cause i have no idea why is it important.

QUOTE(jujx @ Aug 16 2010, 03:07 PM) Nandroid is important IF the rom you updating is corrupted or something bad happened when you flash, aka Bricked your phone. It helps to restore back to where it was before flashing. So, IF the flashing is successful, we can wipe the Nandroid right?

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 16 2010, 03:27 PM) Ordered my case mate BT from case mate. Let's see how long will it takes to arrive. my guess, 1 month White one? Post some pictures when it arrives Is it gloss or matte? How much did they charge you overall together with shipping? Anyway, whats the quadrant score for NextSense 5.3? Mine is 1175. Why seemed so less? This post has been edited by akachester: Aug 16 2010, 03:41 PM

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 16 2010, 04:01 PM) Press the power button see if there is anything. I guess signature verification failed Nothing happens even after long press power button. I suspect the SD card corrupted after the ROM manager flashes it. I just took out the SD, plug into my laptop and it says it needs to be formatted. Formatted it, put in the ROM and Radio zip files and now reflashing. Hopefully its ok.

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Aug 16 2010, 04:27 PM) Did you run it 2-3 times? I can get that score even after under-clocking it to 806Mhz No idea. Btw, how much space you have when you first flashed to 5.3? I am getting 62MB only after i reflashed (after stuck in boot loop) and far differs from what said in XDA (says first boot should show 130+ mb). Weird.

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 16 2010, 04:38 PM) Well I used to flash modaco r8 which i put in App2SD+ but didn't have my partition ready. Each time I restart, the internal memory goes low. After that, I partition and reflash and I got double the first reboot Maybe you can try out QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Aug 16 2010, 04:40 PM) I think the advertised 136MB is assuming that you have ext3/4 ready for a2sd? I have 100MB left with tons (like 50+) of apps instaled Alright. Redownload again the ROM manager. I just wonder how much space on first boot

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 16 2010, 04:46 PM) What I did was partition ---> wipe factory ---> wipe cache ---> flash ---> reboot ----> reboot Alright, just redownloaded ROM manager. Gonna try again. Seriously, this is the 3rd time i downloaded ROM manager. Wonder why is it always failed. And how did you guys do the RUU on NextSense? I wanted to flash back to default but running the RUU failed. Keep saying cant flash. I have no problem before when i was on Modaco.

Anyone here that is on NextSense ever RUU back to stock? I tried just now and the RUU program failed. I then flashed back to Modaco, and RUU and it works. Just a piece of information for those that are on NextSense This post has been edited by akachester: Aug 16 2010, 05:39 PM

QUOTE(triplexpresso @ Aug 16 2010, 05:56 PM) Aiyai~ I need Sense UI and FM Radio! I was looking forward to the boot animation but I guess no Cyano-mod for me I'll prob go with the ROM that I'm most comfortable with, Leedroid 1.8c Agree of course! We are not the iphone thread and we don't have to discuss wallpapers/price/free apps lol I'm amazed at the sudden surge of interest in rooting and all the help that is being offered. I was expecting "RTFM" or "use the search button" after a while but damn, this is one helpful community! Keep it up guys(& gals) and happy rooting to all newbs! You gotta thank HTC for delaying the FroYo to SEA units

Just flashed from NextSense 5.3 back to Modaco stock. For some reason, i am having loads of trouble with it. - I cant RUU back directly to stock Eclair with NextSense. It always fail. Need to flash to Modaco then only can RUU back. - I cant start my camera app even with the latest .20 radio. It keeps saying could not access my SD card but my SD card is ok, as well as partitioned with ROM Manager. - I cant download stuff from the Market using 3G line. Downloading via WiFi is ok and i can even surf the internet using 3G line. However, downloading stuff from there keep saying unsuccessful. - And i have a couple of bootloop when i try to reflash again. Gotta stick with Modaco for now

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 17 2010, 10:46 AM) Do you wipe factory / cache and also dalvik when you perform NextSense 5.3 ? Yes, i did everything i could. Its either something went wrong when i was flashing or my next suspect would be an almost faulty SD card. Gonna try get another SD and test whether working or not

QUOTE(KTCY @ Aug 17 2010, 02:32 PM) Is ok. Just ask here. I too lazy to reply PMs actually as I'm in office working too. Btw, anyone already update their Adobe Flash to the latest version ? I can't seem to find it even I use Market Enabler. I tried accessing Adobe website and download the flash player but apparently, they only listed Nexus One as the only phone to be able to access the download
