i just got a call from my insider in TM KL HQ today. i wondering why they also working today.... they admit that they are throttling "certain" video sharing sites. i asked him if they are throttling it via file extension they say yes. but that is experimental. and when i asked about video streaming software, they asked me back, are you referring to www.ppstream.com itu china punya video streaming site? i say yes, and the software unable to connect. very very slow... then they say, that one we are still investigating why very slow for that. many people complaining. banyak orang marah oooo he say... so i say will that throttling become permanent? he say he cant answer me yet but he say he will call me when he have more information about www.ppstream.com and about the traffic shaping thing.

sure, i will post here if he let me know any updates.

i was half asleep when he call me, so when i asked, he say we are investigating. i asked him about the file extension limiting, they say its like that because from their survey, mkv files and avi files mostly piracy(video) and those 2 files are on the top of the list.

and they may be going to set peak and off peak hours.

I will ask from him later. But from what I know. The forumer is right. They throttle based on the the list.

that why, they are not allowed to tell us acctually. since it is experimental..

same thing happen to me.

but they say, they are investigating it. they did not intend to block pps?

yes i am. that why i subscribe to 4m.. but then many problem come out. i think the traffic shaping is here to stay.. u know lo... at first when implement, alot ppl make noise, but then lama lama ppl forget about it already.

anyone here still remember about the case where some of the users are assigned under a server? all of them getting the same ip start with 5X. they cant download from rapidshare at all because most of them are sharing for the same ip..

and it has been confirmed that happy hour has started. i getting 20KBPS for all torrent while i get 500KBPS just now.

because they capped your dsl at 4096. that why u only can get 3.6... if u want to get 4m u must request them to cap at 5m.

yes, then after awhile rakyat no make noise already, they forget about it, throttle still in place.

i got throttling and dc-ing

modem billion 3 biji, modem riger db102 5 biji, modem riger db108 2 biji, dlink dsl500t, all cannot attain stable DSL SIGNAL! only innacomm w3100 can! wtf... no wonder keep dc.

the snr margin will start from 30+ and slowly drop till <10 then dsl blinking.


no use wan.. they can deny everything since it is experimental and simply post something at the website stating that there is some problem dunno where routing or equipment failure or whatsoever.

i am streaming a avi files via megavideo. seems ok... but sure no full speed la
