Understand that everyone is now waiting in line at the Gardens for their new Iphone4.
My question now, what is the difference if we purchase the Iphone4 at Maxis Centre versus MEP (such as Switch)? How about the warranty cover etc? Will purchase made at Switch, warranty will still be covered by Maxis? The other day I called Maxis (123) and asked this. The operator mention that the warranty will be covered by the seller you buy from. E.g, you buy from Maxis, then they will cover for you. Anyone has any comment? Or is this a damn stupid topic to talk about. Regs, z_c00l |

QUOTE(ahtung79 @ Sep 23 2010, 11:39 PM) y not? after all current 3gs users paying same amount, the rateplan name also same, or at least maxis shud have an iphone trade-in scheme for the 3gs users... They only upgrade you if you purchase with contract I phone 4 on top of your current 3Gs contract and for trade in they have it also at klang valley branch on 25 and 26 but they take it at rm1000Added on September 24, 2010, 12:14 am QUOTE(z_c00l @ Sep 23 2010, 11:43 PM) Understand that everyone is now waiting in line at the Gardens for their new Iphone4. QUOTE(oyama @ Sep 23 2010, 11:19 PM) it should be like this.. maxis offer 1390 for 24 months..that's for fair comparison to Digi.. i know it is not worth to compared like that , just i personally feel the maxis set are more cheaper although the the ivalue data a little bit expensive too . i m just thinking to calculate for the cheapest path to get the iphone4iDigi 88 (5% for postpaid line every month & no autobilling service) [(RM63 x 24 months) x 1.05] + RM2090 (for iPhone 4) = RM 3677.6 Maxis iValue 1 RM100 x 24 months + RM1390 (for iPhone 4) = RM 3790 for total payment.. digi will be much expensive bcoz of the 1st time payment.. Digi have to pay RM3677.6 at one go during the registration.. but maxis only RM 1390 + RM400 during the registration.. so ask ur CC limit.. which service provider to go.. if limit is not an obstacle..then choose a wiser plan instead.. =) digi 3g coverage ? hmm , not much area have it right.? QUOTE(oyama @ Sep 24 2010, 08:58 AM) i see.. if you see total payment i would say digi is the cheapest.. but if you care about put whole big amount in your credit card..then consider maxis.. Rate Plan T&Cyup..got frens working in maxis tower, klcc.. he said even at floor 33..digi connection is sucks.. btw..heard that maxis is selling iphone outright? how much will it cost? any EPP on that? sure can..you will be charged RM25 if not mistaken.. 6 Purchase of an iPhone must be accompanied with any of the above rate plans. Maxis reserves the right to rescind some of the privileges of the rate plans should the registered line not be used with the purchased iPhone. I don't think we can buy outright. I'm also planning to buy outright p/s: thanks 4 answering my question This post has been edited by ehsan076: Sep 24 2010, 09:03 AM |

Just to clarify..aren't it cheaper if take iphone 4 under maxis plan for 12 months contract period compared to digi which only offers contract period of 24 months minimum..correct me if i'm wrong as the calculation i made was :
Maxis : RM100 (ivalue 1) X 12 ( contract period ) + RM1690 ( for 16gig ) = RM2890 Digi : RM63 ( digi 1st plan ) X 24 + 5% tax + RM2090 ( for 16gig ) = RM3677 Even if Digi we calculate as 12 months : RM 63 X 12 +5% tax + RM2090 = RM2883 ( it's the same price with maxis 12 months plan ) The only benefit with maxis is after you finish your 12 months contract u might consider changing to other plans which are cheaper or reduce in data plan plan or in any other way which eventually will be cheaper in long run. But with digi..you will have to continue to pay rm63 for 2 years.. Correct me if this is wrong..: ) |
