Congrats, but remember to call your agent to cancel your earlier appointment, otherwise you may get 2 at the end.
*
Hmm.. my agent nv make any appointment with me. just ask me to me to wait 1 month+

QUOTE(mox123 @ Aug 3 2010, 12:25 PM)
Hi, I'm not from Block K....I do not know how this thing work and it sounds to me they need do some activation on the unit first b4 it can install the Unifi.......for your case, I don't think they had taken your order yet and most probably they need to activate your unit first. If they told you in a week time, just call them back next week. Fyi, when I applied through the phone, they will ask abt all your particular like IC No, Full name, address, your preferred last 4 digits of phone number, your preferred Unifi login ID and blah blah blah.......then they will give you a few dates which you can choose from for the TM people come to do the installation :-)
*
er..sound like he never proceed my applications as he never ask me those detail. but on the phone he said will ask the technician kaotim for me include my installation. Seems like that's some misunderstanding here hmm.gif

think i have to wait 1 week for them to make my unit available and call me for appointment to install for me. so total might another few weeks waiting. aiks. Hope they will install for me when the technician are there to make my unit available. blush.gif

Called unifi total 5 times. 5times different person answered. Same question ask but 5 different answers.

- Area not cover
- Already cover but not ur block
- already cover but not ur unit
- Already cover but no server in ur block
- already cover but no infra

Last call make ask them to check and clarify then give me confirm answer. They said need 2 weeks time to check only can give me confirmation answer

The service person was good. But not informative enough. Not blame the service person but i think the management have to get serious about it.

Can't believe TM still provide such an "Impressive" service. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

AFAIK, 5% tax is only for charged voice calls.

BTW, not all fixed lines are TM lines... I called Citibank and got charged....it turns out Citibank is using Maxis fixed line service.
*
charge voice call only ?? not on the unifi charge ?? cos i clarify with him.. mine Rm249 .. monthly around rm15 he said YES. doh.gif doh.gif

Hmm.. i guess can't work on 2 homeplug 1 aptv 1 normal internet.

think the only solutions for me is leave everything in living hall. Use homeplug for IPTV & wifi for internet access. Router in living hall laptop in bed room hope wont' affect much on the internet speed.

thanks all for answering & if have better solution pls advise yah... =)

Leave the BTU and the DIR-615(as bridge as Rizvan's guide shows) or RB250GS in living hall, then use home plug connect RB250GS to your own router(at ur room), wired LAN to ur PC or use wireless on ur laptop.
*
thanks. Yah will follow rizyan's guide if can't get RB250GS. But how about IPTV in the room ??
arr... headache smile.gif smile.gif

oreomambo, if that one can work then would be great. so i need to do some different setting on the RB250GS ?

I wonder, can't you put all in your bedroom?
*
I live in condo only have 1 phone port at living call. If i need to put all in my room then i have to pull a long phone cable from the phone port to my room. no homeplug for phone cable i guess. and also considering it's might affect the internet speed by pulling a long phone cable.

any pro can advise ?? thanks smile.gif

QUOTE(billytong @ Aug 25 2010, 03:08 PM)
Homeplug is just a lan port extension. You could try that setup.
*
meaning to said is possible to use 2 set of homeplug 1 for iptv 1 for internet ?? wont conflict the transmission ?

Home plug ( IPTV port @ router ----- IPTV)
home plug ( LAN port @ DIR-615 ---- router ) ???

Yes you can have two homeplug networks. I use it as per what you described.

What you will need to do is to launch the application that is provided in the CD. Then you can set two different networks for the different pair. I have now 5 homeplugs running on two network. No issue with regards to performance. IPTV is smooth (including the HD stuffs)... Connectivity to internet has no problem what so ever. But... all my wireless is done on a secondary router.. not via 615..
*
Wow... thanks a lot for the info. notworthy.gif yah i plan to leave everything on living hall and 2nd router in the living room. So i scan use LAN for my HD player.
Problem solved. Now just need to focus on router. and get another set of homeplug. thumbup.gif

As far as we know IT stuff should be no charge/tax in malaysia. Same as camera stuff.

But then again.. i believe Custom will have their "own rules/policy" when they feel like want to "tax" us =)
