based on the previous promo the CS did told me tat i dun hav to pay anything till the fifth mth on the UB40 but the latest poster tat we see ONLY states tat a rebate of RM20 will be deducted for the first 5mths, irrespective of which plan you sign-up

it is just like the delay how many milisecond after u click then only the page start loading..correct me if im wrong.. whistling.gif

Ping is the period of time needed for you to reach to the destination and back to you.

So if you get like 400ping

You'll need 0.4 sec extra to load a page.

in simple terms ping is stability, important when u playing games tru internet, so that your friends see u as real-time and not lagging..

any specific way I can accurately check my usage for FUP for the month? other than the modem's program? cuz sometimes I str8 connect from windows instead of clicking that programme..

you need a software to track the usage. without a software, there's no way to know the total data volume comes in and goes out.

other ways are via SMS or USSD: http://www.u.com.my/faqs/u-broadband-prepaid

On a laptop you might wanna install something like Networx. I love it. Can monitor your current speed and your bandwidth.

If you want something more powerful then go for Netlimiter but it's not free.

standard SMS rate applies; because you are using normal SMS service

Umobile HSPA+ Wifi should be available in 3 weeks according to the news.

Hopefully it is good, the price might be super high though.

Every other plan is bonkers. Maxis, P1, Umobile, Celcom etc all capped, P1 even charges for billing...
