lol, good luck with ur class. anyways, im still pissed off with tracker..already set the Ringtones directory to nowatch but still can be seen by media player.haihz.refresh and reboot also didn't effect their scanning..gonna lurking TMO again later.

There is an option in tracker-cfg app which lets you rebuild the database or indexes.

Or the manual way, in X-Terminal, type the below:
tracker-processes -r

No need to reboot your phone, after you do this, all your pictures, videos, images will be reloaded and it will take some time to load when you open image viewer or music player or video player for the first time after you rebuild the indexes.

hey guys, do you face any problem when using USB charger to charge N900? i found out my ipod Capdase USB charger(i think it's suitable for every phone to charge as long as the phone has USB port..lol).. My N900 has no response after i switch the current on..the charger light is on so this does mean N900 doesnt recognise the outcome as power charger.. hmm.. weird to see..
anyone face this criteria? by the way how do you guys charge your N900 when using GPS on the road?

i search website just now..some said because nokia designated the phone microUSB specifically so the pin of USB cannot be read by the USB port on the USB charger ..i try my bro SATIO to charge by the same way too..but no response too.. seems like SE also use the 'traditional charger' thus the USB charging method is no way else..
whilst HTC or other brand which use USB cable to charge their phone..thus those USB charger can read them as well..

yup.. but i use the PC USB cable to charge the SE phone so do i use the same way to do on N900(even though they have different head--one is using microUSB, another is SE port)..but both show negative response..
Capdase USB charger does lit up(means it does work) but no power to both phone..
BTW, HTC use USB cable to charge the phone so i can use it for my previous HTC phone..haha..sorry kinda blur here..

yup..the home charger does work..when the USB cable connects to PC, the phone does charge up too.. whilst for the USB charger, the phone is in power starvation..
I think not the cable problem.. is the USB pin problem.. Nokia does not design the USB cable to charge phone thru USB charger so there is no response..i believe u are sitting on merry-goes-round now..

for example, Apple designs new 3.5mm jack for Apple Earphone-In-Mic.. well..this 3.5mm jack does not work on ipod touch 1st gen because even though ipod touch 1st gen have 3.5mm audio jack input but it cant read the code(or other else) from latest Apple Earphone-In-Mic..thus microphone has no function for ipod touch 1st gen..

From what i understand and alot ppl having trouble was the portable charger only charge at 500mAh like u said pin limitation due to standard usb port design. But when u use the wall charger supplied by nokia u charge at 1200mAh. For the portable charger to output 1200mAh u need to DIY.

I think i am getting what u r trying to say. I only use my iphone for games hehe.

Video i posted earlier already show GSM module working. Now waiting for him to resolve all bugs i will install NTdroid too.

Then we will have a new member list NTDROID tongue.gif

What's the harm in having both in hand since n900 support dual boot

bro, when we wanna flash to Nitroid, if we got OC on N900 then we need redo to stock speed first? or it's doesnt matter?
by the way dual boot for nitroid and maemo means we stil can get new maemo update(perhaps new firmware soon) from nokia? or we need remove nitroid first?
after flash to nitroid can we still do OC or using all the Maemo widgets as what i'm using now?
fuyoh..lot question to ask before doing so too..haha.. suddenly made up my mind for Nitroid too.. drool.gif
