i think aspire doesnt mean the radio has already function in frequency adjustment..neither i can fibd any standalone radio icon but i guess what he mean to radio streaming is so called internet radio..you can always seek for this feature at media player site..it use WIFI or 3G to stream. |

QUOTE(umang2 @ Aug 11 2010, 11:23 AM) yes...after a lot of apps installed...huhu... usually when your RAM is >175MB, your phone will start to lag.. i experience this problem when the phone up-time is more than 3 days.. this is due to the high RAM consumption of HILDON- HOME and other accumulated temporary caches for the N900 dekstop.. but once i do a reboot, everything return to normal.. RAM back to normal( for mine is 150MB but it's depends).. try not to put too much widget on dekstop..it might help.. Oh yeah.. if your dekstop have simple FM tansmitter and Recaller widget.. please remove them asap.. they are reviewed by other N900 forum to eat too much RAM which are main culprit to lead lagging..was eager with the 32GB space... Got SP on it...but some time when I tap once, i could hear the multiple tap 'sound'. hurmm browsing now not smooth anymore... BTW, try check your SWAP MEMORY(use conky)..if you open too many application.. the swap memory will start to raise.. OC is one of the solution to solve lag problem.. recommended clock speed.. 125MHz to 800MHz.. |

but to me, N8 and N900 have made totally difference angle for the edge of functionality. One is totally focus on multimedia but another is a MID. For me, i rather grab a N900 + DSLR + ipod touch = everything.. although i know the total cost might be more n more expensive..but the enjoyment is totally different and more towards ultimate and perfect state..
the announcement of N8 is just another old piece IT stuff for me.. what's the fresh thing inside this gadget? 12MP camera? hmm..SE satio has better price to defeat N8 Dolby sound? plenty of cheapo LG phone have this feature Symbian ^ 3? another outdated OS(even though Nokia still will provide updated version) capacitive touchscreen? X6 has it USB OTG? i believe very soon our N900 will get this feature from third party community design? i believe this kind design is quite obsolete to a high-end phone.. resolution? N900 is better. So, what's else is special? I'm not sure about you guys but for me..it's none.. |

yup..aspire is right.. but i believe N8 is just another product from Nokia to relieve the attention and question from the crowd.. it's true that N8 has overall feature but the formation of overall doesnt mean we can fully enjoy the feature.. like if we snap 12.0MP photo and listening music, how about phone feature? this bring to the same concern on iphone(which known as a best gaming device but what for? battery last for few hours only if we keep playing high processor game)..
nothing is perfect(i agree with this).. |

QUOTE(arcalius_7 @ Aug 27 2010, 04:02 PM) hahaha..nice guess! so do i.. maybe Nokia China team plan to get Maemo alive(since leaked new firmware info is from china), starting to code for new firmware(perhaps horizontal view in new firmware?) BTW, if N900 successfully flashed to Nitroid(android froyo), meaning we can install papago android in? haha.. |

hey guys, do you face any problem when using USB charger to charge N900? i found out my ipod Capdase USB charger(i think it's suitable for every phone to charge as long as the phone has USB port..lol).. My N900 has no response after i switch the current on..the charger light is on so this does mean N900 doesnt recognise the outcome as power charger.. hmm.. weird to see..
anyone face this criteria? by the way how do you guys charge your N900 when using GPS on the road? |

i search website just now..some said because nokia designated the phone microUSB specifically so the pin of USB cannot be read by the USB port on the USB charger ..i try my bro SATIO to charge by the same way too..but no response too.. seems like SE also use the 'traditional charger' thus the USB charging method is no way else..
whilst HTC or other brand which use USB cable to charge their phone..thus those USB charger can read them as well.. |

yup.. but i use the PC USB cable to charge the SE phone so do i use the same way to do on N900(even though they have different head--one is using microUSB, another is SE port)..but both show negative response..
Capdase USB charger does lit up(means it does work) but no power to both phone.. BTW, HTC use USB cable to charge the phone so i can use it for my previous HTC phone..haha..sorry kinda blur here.. |

yup..the home charger does work..when the USB cable connects to PC, the phone does charge up too.. whilst for the USB charger, the phone is in power starvation..
I think not the cable problem.. is the USB pin problem.. Nokia does not design the USB cable to charge phone thru USB charger so there is no response..i believe u are sitting on merry-goes-round now.. for example, Apple designs new 3.5mm jack for Apple Earphone-In-Mic.. well..this 3.5mm jack does not work on ipod touch 1st gen because even though ipod touch 1st gen have 3.5mm audio jack input but it cant read the code(or other else) from latest Apple Earphone-In-Mic..thus microphone has no function for ipod touch 1st gen.. photo provided-- http://forums.internettablettalk.com/attac...=1&d=1261588126 http://forums.internettablettalk.com/attac...=1&d=1261588150 haha..i'm still thinking whether wanna change to Nitroid(android) when it got GSM module for my N900 because Ipod almost has what the androids got(apps are even much more than android).. |
