That's indirectly insulting - where have you been; Japanese games have sucky graphics ? Anyway, NCSoft - The publisher of Guild Wars (and investor) is Korean. Explain's why you think it's Japanese

from what i've learn, The key ppl of Diablo, Warcraft, Starcraft and B.Net developers band together and started a new company called Arenanet. Arenanet is a subsidiary of NCSoft, a korean mmorpg company... most likely they got influenced by korean mmorpg art direction. So you get good Blizzard quality gameplay and beautiful korean-style graphics that surpass World of Warcraft.

I wanna play a healer. WOndering which combination is good for a healer, monk/mesmer or monk/elementalist?

saw it in guildwars webbie, some top guilds use pure monks as hardcore healer/support

The first 2 images are in-game Cinematic shots - she's an NPC.

Monk/Mesmer = In my opinion is a tough class to play, you need alot of combo. The mesmer relies heavily on the player.

Monk/Elem = Good, you can heal and cast spells that interupt or knock your enemy to the ground.

yes, it's not compulsary for u to choose a secondary profession and it won't put u at a disadvantage either.

In other words no second profession. Don't forget when you go into a mission you can only bring certain skills with you. As a Ranger/monk I have this problem as to whether to put orison healing or leave it out since there could be another monk or put it on as a backup. Being a pure monk you won't have this problem

As a ranger I also have a problem whether to use the wilderness skills to buff my pet or sacrifce that and use my marksmen skills.

I believe you MUST take a second profession (Not sure) - If I didnt take a second profession, I cannot get pass pre-searing (Starting).

There is no difference between, monk/monk and monk/whatever-class.
Because you can pump skill points into your primary skill monk and be a full monk. Don't even care about the secondary class. There is NO DISADVANTAGE.
