yes. papago support Malaysia/Singapore and bit Thailand map. frequent update from MFM.

However papago still not verified to support Froyo which we will get on September. So you might want to wait before you purchase. Temporarily I am using Brut Google Navigation.

im having the sleep wifi problem (when phone wake up cant connect to wifi)
and i remember reading somewhere here about changing the channel to 8..
how do i do that? thats the setting in the modem and not the phone right?

EDIT: searched and its the router.. omg crap! using unifi and tm locked me out, GG wifi

just a suggestion, never try this myself, but why not make you phone connect to your computer (ad-hoc, sharing internet) instead of your router?, the range maybe limited,

honestly you cant find much problem within 24hrs after purchasing this phone but you can try turning on your wifi, surfing, play music/video, just use every function of the phone and see how it goes. dont think there is much quality problem with this phone in terms of hardware out of so many post i can only remember that "silent" guy having probs with this phone. just get the phone, you wont regret it. if there are any probs with this phone, its more firmware/software related which can be fixed later on

Follow up to my battery prolong list earlier, what that list basically means is, if you want to prolong your battery, dont wait until the battery is totally drained out then charge, something i practiced before cos i was having the old Ni-mh methods, draining the battery dry then charging full just creates more stress on the battery. however, i still do not understand how GSM Arena could get that much out of their battery, read here : http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-i9000-gal...-with-the-best/

they might not ecchange it but they are still obligated to fix it for sure. dont worry, chances of you having a bad unit is actually quite low, Korean Quality inspection is very stringent, as good as the Japanese.

do i smell V3 thread coming soon....i think the Galaxy S community is growing and growing smile.gif

Where did you get DGJG8, buddy? I could not find it on the samsung-firmware web site. I am on JPJG8 (mid-east/africa firmware) now, feels alright so far.

JP3 (froyo) firmware was cool, but a bit too buggy. Too many sudden force closes especially when browsing web with multiple windows open.
