QUOTE(hnr2802 @ Jul 18 2010, 10:31 PM) that 1 for incoming calls ringtones right? That's a good one, have you checked if the guys on desire and milestone have raised this also? The beauty with android is that it really doesn't matter which phone maker as most apps can be ported across handsets.what i meant was.. when u suddenly get drop calls u will dont realised it disconnected until u see it on the screen or cant hear the other side talking. i have 1 of this app when im using blackbery before. on nokia phone you would hear a tone when call get disconnected. |

Actually it's because some apps automatically try to engage wifi to determine your location.
Once it does that, if you are not in a wifi spot, the thing just hangs up and can't disconnect because the app is forcing the connection. For some reason, even when you move into a wifi hotspot, it still remains stuck. I guess this is as simple as I can explain it based on my experience. Once I turned off the location setting from wifi, then this stops. One app that seems to attempt to run itself, and may cause this is MSN talk. Getting annoyed with it, as even when I connect to wifi the app automatically turns on. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Jul 18 2010, 10:51 PM |

There are a few chinese inputs, one is built in, change input to the built in IME or download google IME. Either works.

neo_lam , really difficult as I have no problems with voice calls.
I am on 2G only, and only switch on 3G if I need to surf. |

Dammit man, my phone today experienced the following:
Wifi cannot turn on, it keeps turning itself off. Many wifi networks around but cannot detect any. Mac address 'unavailable' I read around and it says to factory reset. I did that and it started working, but lost pretty much everything in my phone. Now my wifi the signal quite weak. |

Faced a new problem and fixed:
If the sim card contact with phone fails and you restart phone It will 'hang' at the lock screen, the simcard icon will have an '!' icon beside it. In addition, the homescreen will display swipe to unlock screen, but it won't move at all. So it just hangs there. I took out the sim card, gave it a few wipes and put it back in. My phone loaded up again. XXX meant CAD, I couldn't recall the prefix.
CAD300 has the big head, and the CAD310 is the microUSB. But the one you got is CAD300UBE and microUSB. So ya. That's what I meant, part number doesn't match product on samsung website. But it is listed as OEM product? So, I am really not sure. |
