your username and password for PPPoE connection (aka connection to the internet) are all stored into the modem router already, configured by TM technicians.

Today I received a call from a mobile number. She asked me whether was I Ms.Lee (I'm a guy), which I know she was referring to my mom.

And so I told her,you got the wrong number and I'm her son, are you from TM?

She replied Yes and asked me whether am I free on Wednesday as they wanna send over the laptop? I said I'm not at home but my dad will be.

She asked for my dad's full name and IC number and I do not have it at that time, who in the right sound of his mind would memorize the entire family's IC number?

WTF service seriously....TM customer service department is seriously rude. Furthermore speaking in Bahasa..most of the time they call all in Bahasa...I had enough of it...I can't really converse well in Bahasa.

I'm hoping they do come on Wednesday!

Initially, how does the installer contact you? They contact you first izzit?

for those who are using TM's new Dlink 2640B router modems... I recommend you guys to flash the firmware to the original firmware which can be obtained from Dlink site itself (South East Asia version)

I've found out that there are some problems in the supplied firmware (with the TM logo) whereby I can't change the DNS server setting. Even when I've changed it, the connection still goes back to TM's default DNS server.

Another thing would be that there's always a problem disconnecting/reconnecting the line. The modem just won't respond. Would be a problem for using megaupload, rapidshare and stuff which needs to change the IP address / getting out of dead IPs... After flashing back to original manufacture firmware, everything seems to be ok

aiyo is there any other way to upgrade my existing streamyx subscription to unipack without waiting for affecting my 30days without access to wifi and keep my existing phone number?

i wish i can upgrade without causing annoyance to my family to wait for internet access (in case of solution 2).
