hahaha.. avanteh!
if i were you, and new avante is here, i think im gonna get avante also.
but still dunno when it will reach our shore.
more or less another one year i guess.
haha.. i like that analogy..
hot = yes (still smokin hot with nice curve and nice ass)
mysterious = yes (dunno on resale value and reliability with malaysian climate but for rest of the world seems okay)
high maintenance = hahaha.. if you give good and regular service, pamper her, and try your best to look around for same quality makeup with lower price its not high maintenance at all.. tongue.gif

same goes to avante, since its korean car, you'll ended the same dilemma in choosing one.. another smokin hot gf that every man dream off. lolz

Added on October 8, 2010, 2:17 amjust came back from test drive (after 30K service last monday and yet havent test drive until today). feels that the iridium does give extra kick.
idling rpm and rpm at 110KM/h slightly lower than usual (just a little bit - because previously I always check rpm and speed on daily basis).

hope it can give better FC due to lower RPM.

does anybody else notice the same? or it's just me that perasan? hahahaha

problem? nothing much.
quite a bunch of owners also already hit 30K marks

Most problematic one is alignment
1) can be fix but not 100% (car will sway to the left after some time). this one stock condition, no change anything just play with the tuning
2) i've change the camber nut (cost me rm120 for both front). This is not advisable as it will void warranty. To play safe, ensure u keep the stock camber nut. So far so good better then stock condition.

Other than that sometime cannot switch on the engine due to brake sensor is not detected
1) Only happened twice so far
2) It was caused by the sensor. Usually i press brake with minimal force. If things like this happened, must press the brake harder.
3) If still cannot switch on by pressing the button then probably the sensor stuck. You must pull out the small little white thing behind the brake. After that maybe go to SC and ask them to put extra lubricant (maybe the lubricant not enough to prevent it from stuck due to wear & tear)

5w-40 is quite thin and to compare it with 5w-30 is quite minimal difference.

Need to confirm with other 2.0 here on the sound.

the sound consider gla gla gla or ketak ketak?

2 types of gla gla sound
1. if uphill gla gla is pinging sound need to go back ECU upgrade cause the ignition happened to early.
2. gla gla only when aircon is on need to go back check compressor if bad need to claim warranty.

SC depends. some okay some not. same to dealer SC. but from experience, they're improving over time.
as for problem. no major problem. only tiny miny little issue like yik yik sound due to seat belt or seat and exhaust. all can be resolved one.

Thanks Taipan ^^ im guessing ALL cars have PROBLEMS no matter what.

I did some research and also found that the new facelift version is out in Korea and should be coming to Malaysia the question is when laugh.gif

anyhow will go test drive and have a look at the car first. The only problem im worried is that I'll have to wait for 5 - 6 months for the car and when the car is out they launch the new facelift forte.

that'll be really really heart stabbing tongue.gif

hmmmm.. dont think the facelift will be here anytime soon.
they have this model in lineup but still dunno the progress

1) Soul (being displayed but no launching date yet, maybe cancel?)
2) Forte Koup (heard end of 2010 only launch, still a rumor)
3) Forte Hatchback? (no news, no rumor, maybe will not be here)
4) Facelift Forte (with GDI engine)

mine also has that 'sound' when it's cold... but when engine hot the 'sound' gone...
taipan already heard it via my hp... hahaha...
will switch to magnetec after this... hope the 'cicak' will stick to the piston & reduce the sound...
all my previous car used magnetec...
