I've been away from malaysia for far too long, so forgive me for asking this, but i don't really understand celco exclusivity. I want the desire hd, so i should buy it from digi right? But does that mean i can only use the phone with digi? Since i won't be around kl when i go back to malaysia, i'm not sure if digi is the right celco for me. Besides, i already have an account with maxis.
So, can i buy the phone from digi, but not use digi???? I really don't mind paying the full price since i've been saving the money ever since i bought my htc magic last year |

QUOTE(ChiaKhai @ Nov 25 2010, 07:12 PM) but why would HTC manufacture TFT anymore? Doesnt really make any sense.. HTC didn't manufacture LCD/SLCD/AMOLED/SAMOLED, all these panel were manufactured by Samsung/LG/Sony etc, however these manufacturers have yet come out with any 4.3" SLCD screen but only LCD, therefore nothing much HTC can do to this.it should be SLCD or better =D Added on November 25, 2010, 8:12 pm QUOTE(apiddo @ Nov 25 2010, 07:50 PM) I've been away from malaysia for far too long, so forgive me for asking this, but i don't really understand celco exclusivity. QUOTE(ChiaKhai @ Nov 25 2010, 06:22 PM) I wonder will DiGi subsidize the DHD for existing Smart Plan users. It would be so great! haha.. already registered for interest.. you still can get a subsidized DHD if you sign up for a 1 yearcontract or more - it doesn't matter whether you are existing Digi customers or from other Telco. Unless of course you already bind in a contract now with Digi, then you may m=have to wait until the contract expires.anyway, ill hope for miracle xD |

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Nov 25 2010, 05:58 PM) The resolution is also important. Although 4.3 inches, the resolution is the same as the Z and regular Desire. That's why the DHD appears washed out, HTC got lazy and didn't increase the resolution. its not about being lazy, android 2.2 is not optimized for higher resolution.. and if they just give out a higher resolution, it will have compatibility issues with some apps and games.. surely the user dont want a 4.3 huge brick that run Adreno 205 but cant play asphalt cuz resolution not supportedAlso for some mysterious reason, they felt like giving a smaller capacity battery in the DHD compared to the Z and old Desire. |

I would rather it maintain the resolution as i am upgrading from Desire. I can just do a backup from Desire and then restore to the new DHD... every apps and data will be just fit in perfectly (hopefully). |

Thanks llk and ChiaKhai
Btw, someone from the Phillipines say that HTC launched the phones there 2 days ago, but it will only be on sale at the end of december... Maybe it's the same in Malaysia as well? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...7&postcount=255 |
