Thanks for the clarification but the SD ram Card doesn't means the SR ram use on PCs . only the Ram call SD Flash Card.

Indeed the 256MB ram are for storage and its indeed ack as an external Ram where you can toke the ram out if you like  cool.gif There are 64MB Ram of share memory compare to 128MB for O2 XDA IIs. But i use to have all the thing to be store at the SD card to free up the internal storage incase of unnecessary situation. Cos the 7.5MB can't fit even a small movie clip. cry.gif

mana ade external RAM,the 256MB is a Flash type memory for storage.. not for running task la! so whether u got plug in the 256MB or not, mini still use the 57.41MB RAM for it's operation purposes. and Flash type memory is a form of EEPROM...so how can it be RAM pulak? whistling.gif
ur mixin up the facts smile.gif

cheers. smile.gif

i get it now...ehhe thanx for the info

so actually the "ram" fein talking about is memory storage rite?

hmm i was confused a moment ago...thanxx......

meaning there is only 7mb storage space internal and it runs on 64mb ram(for programs, etc) and it has storage of 256mb external Sd card rite?

Hi guys! All this while I have been wanting O2 Mini since I saw it at one of the shops in KLCC. However coming out with RM2688 at one go seemed like a burden. Coming into this forum by accident is really a blessing, as reading fein's post on PB Visa Card promotion gave me a new light in finally owning that piece of cool gadget. Thanks fein cos if I never read your post, I will still be ignorant about PB's promotion. I have applied for the card and now waiting for the approval before proceeding to get O2 mini.

Anyway, currently I am using Ipaq 4150. I wonder if I get my O2 mini, can I just synched it straightaway with the ActiveSync that I installed for my Ipaq?
thankyou

Okay guys, at last I'm getting my O2 mini on the coming week.... Phew, wait till my neck also few feet long liao... drool.gif rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

All right, I was surveying around MV & LYP and I was qouted a price from PDA Expert from MV for RM 2600 (full package + screen protector<crystal view> + lifetime software support) or RM 2620 with the same package above PLUS a car charger adapter.

So is this deal consider a good one? Kindly advice or recommend me a place if there is a better place with a better deal and also a better software support/knowledge.

Kindly provide more info for the below :-

1. What does the original full package included in the box?
2. Is the Crystal View screen protector good/almost same with Martin Field? What is the price for the both SC?
3. What is the normal market price for the car charger adapter if bought seperately?
4. Please recommend a list of MUST HAVE softwares for this cool device so that it can be cOOler....
5. Does this smartphone origanally has the following function for the Phone function like Caller Group, Caller Picture? If not, please recommend softwares for the above functions.
6. Since this Mini is using WM 2003 SE, can it be upgradable to the newer version in the future?
7. I'm planning to pair this Mini with the Logitech Freedom Bluetooth Earpiece, any comment on this?

Well, I guess these are what I need to know for the moment.

Experts please help me out on this issue cause I don't want to waste my hard-earn $$$ which cause about RM2k++.

1x Pouch
1x Travel Charger
1x 2 sided earphone
1x 256MB SD card

Crystal View is pretty OK. But MF is just a notch above it. You can see and feel the difference. CV - RM 30-RM 40. MF RM 50.

3. What is the normal market price for the car charger adapter if bought seperately?

Not sure. Some say < RM 100. But I saw one for sale at Low Yat for RM 150.

This is a very subjective matter. One good software might be useful for one but might not be useful for another. Browse through the various online softwares stores and see what you need.

OR, ask the shop to recommend you some softwares.

5. Does this smartphone origanally has the following function for the Phone function like Caller Group, Caller Picture? If not, please recommend softwares for the above functions.

Caller Group, no. But you can assign individual ring tones to each caller, using Ring Tone X. Caller Picture is supported by default.

It depends on the manufacturer, in this case O2. So we cannot say for now.

1. Package comes with pouch, earpiece, 256mb sd card, 2xstylus, usb cable, cd and power cord.

2.I would recommend martin fields as it feels more quality, u can really feel the diff between both of them.

3.Original adapter is quoted at RM120 if i am not mistaken, but the el cheapos (pirated) is at RM20++

4.Cant help u there, gotta do research, and there is too many.

5. Yes, there are software bundled for this thing already not to worry.

6.Erm i am new to this, upgradable thingy, i am not sure.

7. Should be able kua? i do not own a bluetooth headset sorry.

sonyclie77 & hangy2k....

My friend (firewire) told me that you both are expert with this MINI.... So please do look after me when I bought one too....
tongue.gif

I just got my Logitech Freedom Bluetooth today at LYP, for RM 270. Good deal or not?

So if anyone is interested with my Motorola HS-810 (Earpiece, charger, original pouch), I'm letting it go at RM100. Please contact me anytime as I don't need 2 bluetooth.

Hey guys, seems like no one say anything about the Mini deal that PDA expert offer to me....

Lifetime software support, from what I understand from them is, I can go back to them as long as I'm still using the Mini for free software installation...

The car charger adapter they bundled is those compatible one, not ORIGINAL... So, is it advisable to use those compatible one or get an additional battery? Btw, how much is an ORIGINAL battery cost?

Don't worry, I will definately join the Mini club as I've been planning to get one a month ago....

So guys, please reserve a seat for me and be kind enough to guide me.....

Till then, I'm still a guy who is using a SE K700i.

Sayonara....

From the sound of it, it's a pretty good deal I should say. biggrin.gif

And depending on your usage, you might want to consider the package with the car charger. biggrin.gif

Not sure about headsets. But from Graffika's list dated 5/4/05, it's RM 360. So RM 270 should be a fair deal. I tried on the headset at the road show some time back. And I must say that it's one of the most comfortable headset I've worn.

It's up to you. I'd rather get an extra Ori battery. But I am to understand it costs around RM 100 or so.
