Yeah the casing is EXPENSIVE.....But you can choose either front cover,back battery cover or back camera cover....the all have individual prices last time I checked with them....

Forgot the name but in 9th F just that shop that is open .... it closes on Wednesday though .... all other day open ...

Why do you want to change the casing ??? why dont just laminate it ??? ... not that expensive ...

Mini still selling for 2199 even atom is out. Hmm I'm thinking getting an Atom too. The only difference of the hardware is 128ROM. Other then built-in wifi I dont see anything else.

I Suggest you check out the threads comparing O2 Atom and DOPOD 818Pro. You will be dissapointed to know that the ATOM is not performing to expectations. I too wanted to change to ATOM but now I have changed my mind....

yeah, y'day went to LYP with a friend who wanted to change her XDA IIi to Atom but almost all salesman said Atom's WM5.0 is not stable, always hang & do not support unregistered software & camera is very, very slow. not recommended to get it. maybe a year later wor.

Need help here. My O2 mini (Ltd Ed) back cover (camera piece on top portion) is abit loose. I can hear ke keek ke keek everytime hold it tight.

Anyone can advice how to tighthen?

You sure is so cheap? Where you enquire? Cos I ask last 2 week ago at 02 Service Center they quoted me RM270//- for front and back + labour. That why I decide to skin/laminate my O2 Mini for RM60.

Hi.. I have change my casing with O2 Service Centre @ Berjaya Times Square for RM 245..

They change the front and back casing, the black middle part, the battery holder, the camera part/holder... kinda costly but was worth every penny..

Advantage of Atom over mini :-

- WM5
- Wifi
- Radio
- EDGE
- 262k Colour
- 2.0MP
- 128 ROM
- Smaller form factor

Look good on paper but in reality there lot to be desire :-

- Battery cover loose issue
- Very Slow (Slower than mini 2X)
- Buggy
- 8-10 rings before the phone actually sounds
- And playin an MP3 ringtone from the mini sd card is HORRIBLE, it jerky!
- With two tiny speaker infront and the ringtone could not be hear clearly. Distortion and cracking can be hear. Sound MAX out.
- RADIO.... bad... noise and flat sound.
- Touch Screen response is poor and retarted.
- Piano Black plastic body. Cheapo.. Finger PrintProne. Easy scratch and crack.
- Poor Quality EarPiece. Doesn't fit well and keep dropping.
- Checksum Failure issue
- Hang a lot
- Take 3-5 minute to boot up when reset.
- Poor 2.0 Camera

They have some ROM update by now to rectify some issue. But already too much damage is done to regain user confidence. Recommend you to go for Dopod 818 pro or the faster Eten M600 if you decide to upgrade.

do we need the usb cable to sync it?..can I only use the bluetooth dongle to connect to pc and sync it?..i tried with BT dongle but can't sync...if need the cable how much would that cost and where i can order it coz i'm from penang and lost the cable when i purchased the O2 mini coz pindah rumah everything missing

It took them 2 days to change the covers including some minor services... e.g updating ROM, software...

think needs around 5 hrs only if wanna change the housing only
