Shocking decision to let go the one and only left back before getting any replacement.I hope RH knows what he is doing.

Are we going to play 3-4-3 next season?

Reina

Skrtel---Carra---Agger

Maxi---Gerrard----Lucas----Riera

Kuyt---Torres---Jono

Something like this?

Anyway, bid farewell to the guy who struck an awesome goal against Arsenal last season.

to me, Insua plays better as an attacking player than a defender as he is too short to go defend tongue.gif

Cisse was fast. but that guy is more fragile than a 5 dollar vase. He broke his leg RUNNING, without any challenges.

I don't understand why he wants maynor figueroa. Insua is a mediocre player in a big club with alot of room for improvement. Figueroa is a mediocre player in a mediocre club play probably at his peak. And both for the same price. I'd rather bring back warnock or riise.

my opinion...cisse is promising when he first came into the team..(can't forget how he trick opponent defender using backheel..againts spurs i think...but when he broke his leg againts rovers....he loss his pace...dribbling skill (like babbel)..only knows kick the ball far away n run the get the ball...WE NEED ARDA TURAN..FORMER LEGEND STEVE MCMANAMAN protege...we need left back that can defend n overlap to cross the ball..

yes...insua is not good enough compare with aurelio...aurelio can cross the ball...we need left back that

1. defend
2. overlap

n with extra skills

1. score from header
2. score from outside the box (like agger)
3. score from free kick..

Lol, Liverpool situation is worse than mediocre club right now. Even Sunderland and Birmingham manager got more transfer budget to buy new player

Just hope Liverpool can finish top 7 this season and got place in EURO Cup sweat.gif

If everyone plays as good as they can be, consistently, not to mention at their preferred position such as Aquilani, we can look forward to at least 4th place I guess.

Surprising how people can blame Insua for "few costly mistake last season" when the whole team, even the senior players like Gerrard and Carra played worse at times.

Undeniably, he lacks the defensive sense of a wingback and lack of pace. But lets not forget, he was only 20(21 now).He can still improve on his game..Anyway,He was the wing back with the most assists last season. I don't know but I think a lot of us here are being harsh to the likes of Insua, Lucas, babel and even N'Gog.I wish I could see Gerrard, Carra, Torres and Mascherano get the same bashing but it will never be the case.Don't pick the young guns because they are simply less experienced. The seniors should do better. Why so bias to protect the star players and not the young guns? They deserve better treatment.

Seriously, so much of talking about being the best fans?So much talk about standing behind the team.Last season, we can see how we react, instead of blaming the whole team, one by one player being singled out as scape goat.I dont need to give more examples, the treatment on Lucas and Ngog is more than enough. Booing your own player? What a disgrace.Best fans? My ass.

current team is OK...no insua, benny...so....we need Jovanovic, Arda Turan, Loic Remy, Bryan Luiz, Gilberto Silva, right back, left back, right wing...we can get back the top 4...for me...Man city is nothing..even they have new signing (as long it wasn't messi, xavi, iniesta n wesley snidjer)..spurs also nothing..almost like us last season..they were lucky coz not hit by injuries.

12million (budget), 5 mil (benny sales), 30 mil (mascha sales), 5 mil (insua sales)...almost 52million to spend...still RH cannot find proven players?

reina

johnson skrtel carra ?????

maxi GilbertoSilva (free / less than 2 mil) gerrard arda turan

torres loic remy (12 mil)

on bench

agger
Jova (free)
Aquilani
Gilberto Silva
Riera
Bryan Luiz (10 mil)
Eccelston
Ever Banega (8 mil)
Lucas
Soto

p/s still wonder how come arsenal can get Mariounne Chamakh for free....

And many people thought that we would be front runners for last seasons BPL, which we did not achieve dramatically. So i guess we just have to wait and see for this season. Who knows, the chemistry of the team might work this year as compared to lasts.

We still have Reina, Gerrard, Masch, Torres, Aquilani and even Kuyt. These players if kept or sold should still be replaced by world class players.

What I'm afraid of is that we don't replace them. I've read about Poulsen being a replacement for Masch. Poulsen can barely make it in Juventus. You can't expect him to be even close to what Masch is, and if the deal really happens, it's obvious that our standards and expectations have fallen even further.

Truth be told, money has ruined football. Doesn't matter who you buy or who you promote into the first team. If they perform well, the next summer they will be linked with a move to Man City or Barca or Chelski or Real.

This is what I found too.
With Rafa, we expect to be champion of EPL.
With Hodgson, we are OK to be in mid-table. It's all suddenly justifiable. We are no longer one of the title contenders.

How to justify that? When we have almost the same set of key players?
It's all played in the human brain.

This guys Pranjic do have class man. Based on the video, he is a type of player that don't celebrate much when he scores.

Liverpool eye Christian Poulsen move

Liverpool are eyeing Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen as a replacement for the soon-leaving Javier Mascherano.

According to Tuttocalcionews.it, the Anfield club are willing to barter forward Dirk Kuyt in exchange for the Danish international as they prepare for the imminent departure of Mascherano from the club.

On Juventus' side, the Italian giants are hoping to raise funds in order to strengthen other departments in their squad and the sale of Christian Poulsen could benefit the interests of both clubs.

The two domestic giants will also be gunning for a Champions League spot this coming season after missing out on the premier European competition this year, leading to their respective appointments of a new manager.

what is RH thinking??
