It is hard for the team..LFC is not always lucky when bring in new signing.... good when playing when their old club...but not at anfield

1. Cisse (French League Top Scorer)...at anfield...failure
2. Fernando Morientes (well known enough) at anfied..failure
3. Mark Gonzalez
4. Aquilani
5. Paul Ince
6. Keane
7. many more...

even if we bring in KLOSE, VILLA, MESSI, we hope that bad luck move away from anfield...

The Lyon-bred hitman could follow in Thierry Henry's footsteps

by Andy Brassel

With his speedy runs up the channels, elegance and finishing, people were comparing Loic Remy to Thierry Henry even before Arsene Wenger showed an interest in the young front man. Now Remy looks set to arrive in the Premier League at Liverpool, we get to see exactly how accurate those comparisons are.

Last no. 7 was Keane. To be fair, Keane never got to who he was even when he returned to Spurs and even to Celtic so I doubt it's Liverpool's fault. Cisse was never good, Morientes was poor, but given that he's passed his peak. I dunno why we really sold Mark Gonzalez or Craig Bellamy (discipline problems aside), those two were the ONLY speedy players we really had in a while. Look at the side today. Noone can run.

We can't afford Arda Turan, especially if we're getting Remy. I'm thinking promote the likes of Pacheco or Ecclestone to fill in for Yossi as a versatile midfielder.
*
if i'm not mistaken..arda turan is out of contract...so he can come maybe free or cheap

Cisse was fast. but that guy is more fragile than a 5 dollar vase. He broke his leg RUNNING, without any challenges.

I don't understand why he wants maynor figueroa. Insua is a mediocre player in a big club with alot of room for improvement. Figueroa is a mediocre player in a mediocre club play probably at his peak. And both for the same price. I'd rather bring back warnock or riise.
*
my opinion...cisse is promising when he first came into the team..(can't forget how he trick opponent defender using backheel..againts spurs i think...but when he broke his leg againts rovers....he loss his pace...dribbling skill (like babbel)..only knows kick the ball far away n run the get the ball...WE NEED ARDA TURAN..FORMER LEGEND STEVE MCMANAMAN protege...we need left back that can defend n overlap to cross the ball..

to me, Insua plays better as an attacking player than a defender as he is too short to go defend tongue.gif

no love lost fr me, as he made a few costly mistakes for us last season vmad.gif  vmad.gif
*
yes...insua is not good enough compare with aurelio...aurelio can cross the ball...we need left back that

1. defend
2. overlap

n with extra skills

1. score from header
2. score from outside the box (like agger)
3. score from free kick..

current team is OK...no insua, benny...so....we need Jovanovic, Arda Turan, Loic Remy, Bryan Luiz, Gilberto Silva, right back, left back, right wing...we can get back the top 4...for me...Man city is nothing..even they have new signing (as long it wasn't messi, xavi, iniesta n wesley snidjer)..spurs also nothing..almost like us last season..they were lucky coz not hit by injuries.

12million (budget), 5 mil (benny sales), 30 mil (mascha sales), 5 mil (insua sales)...almost 52million to spend...still RH cannot find proven players?

reina

johnson skrtel carra ?????

maxi GilbertoSilva (free / less than 2 mil) gerrard arda turan

torres loic remy (12 mil)

on bench

agger
Jova (free)
Aquilani
Gilberto Silva
Riera
Bryan Luiz (10 mil)
Eccelston
Ever Banega (8 mil)
Lucas
Soto

p/s still wonder how come arsenal can get Mariounne Chamakh for free....

Name one reason why would David Villa choose Liverpool over Barcelona?
if we have money...n planning to have revolution..i'm very sure he will come to play with other spanish.. remember when torres choose liverpool beside Man Utd? ... but unluckly we have no money...

hahaha...but for me...to have holding midfielder we doesn't need a similar player like masche... he can't even get Walcot in the champions league...he also easily get cards... we need clever midfielder who can keep the ball... see barca... how fast their midfielder? nope..but they keep the ball and pass to the striker...the only things now is..we need attacking minded team...no chance for opponent to counter...we need fast game... how solid is our team when dietmar hamman n mcalister control the midfield...solid defence...Gerrard need to have his form back...we need fast winger..who can shoot...cross the ball...last season was bad...no genuine winger.....we attack from the middle... i can count how many goals we get from header...

"There is increased optimism that both stay with the Reds for the 2010-11 campaign, something that will give Hodgson £40m transfer war-chest, provided Javier Mascherano's move to Inter Milan gets the green-light.

If the star pair do leave, the kitty will rise to almost £140m, allowing Hodgson to bid for high-profile replacements."

WAH...140M...If gerrard, torres n mascherano out...we can add a lot of player into the squad...promising team (just a dream) with 140 Million:

Goalkeeper
1. Joe Hart (10 mil)

Defender
1. Jerome Boateng (10 Mil)
2. Joan Capdevila (15 mil)

Midfield

1. Arda Turan (free)
2. Joe Cole (free)
3. Juan Mata ( 15 Mil)
4. Ashley Young (10 Mil)
5. Sami Khedira (15 Mil)

Striker
1. Sergio Aguerro (20 Mil)
2. Diego Forlan (20 Mil)

TOTAL : 115 Million... still have 25 million..hahaha ...just for fun..but if this happened....?

I don't know what you ate, nor what you drank, neither do I know what you're smoking, but this has got to be the most ridiculous line up for the 2010/2011 season. Having Joe Hart as a goalkeeper when we've already got José Manuel "Pepe" Reina Páez aka "The Showstopper". There are more fallacies to your suggestion, but I'll refrain from commenting.

IF RH does have that much of 40Million pound,oh how I wished for was Benitez would have continued being the boss.

And yes, too much of Football Manager for you, I believe.
*
bro..this is for fun bro...and u have to read it slowly... i've stated that we can add players to existing squad...yes we have reina..but who the next keeper after him? cavalieri? he's going out...and we need more english player....which english keeper you think have better performance beside james? RObert Green? i don't think so...joe hart is much better than him...that's out man city want him back...please don't take everything too serious..the premier league is still far away...

IF RH does have that much of 40Million pound,oh how I wished for was Gerrard Houlier would have being the boss.

yah.. rclxms.gif i've stated in my posting >>> ... "TOTAL : 115 Million... still have 25 million..hahaha ...just for fun..but if this happened....?"
hahaha...just take a break since we are not going to sign any players for another 2,3 days...if talking about serious comment....i would like to have Eccelston in first team squad...promising striker...

yeah, his demands might be high, but he is prem proven and english. If he ain't free, we might fork out around 10-15 million for him plus his wages.
*
i think the wages is acceptable..since ferdinand get 110k... vidic 70k....90k for free transfer is ok for me..we pay nothing...if he under bar, sell him for a few millions

for example

90k x 4 weeks = 360k per month x 12 month = 4.3million +-

that's meant we pay him almost 4 million a year...if he not perform well, next season let him go for 4.5 million...we get our money at least

He will play every week and probably play centrally as an advanced attacking midfielder. The chances of him being stuck out on the left wing are quite small. Hodgson likes to play players in their preferred position - hardly a radical idea but an important one nonetheless.

we can sell mascherano for 30million........then give Damien Plessis chance to take his part...his young..if we can't get a speedy player like mascherano..why can't we use Patrick Viera type to play as DM?.......with 30 million plus 5 mil on benny, 5 mil on insua, we can invest on high profile left back for at least 10mil, 10 million on left winger, 12 mil on Loic Remy, another 8 million on another right winger to backup maxi.. one of the buying is Arda Turan.

Joe Cole & Riera = Left wing
Gerard, Aquilani & ????? = Attc Mdfielder
Damien Plessis & ??????? = Defensive Midfielder
Maxi & ????? = right wing
torres, jova, loic, kuyt , babbel & ngog = striker
Johnson & ???? = right back
skrtel, carra , soto, agger = Center Defender
????? & ????????? = Left back
Reina & Cavalieri = goal keeper

that is my opinion on what position need some backup?

reserve player waiting : eccelston & nemeth (striker) , martin & darby (defender)

crossfire : i heard that RH re enter to get arda...but no news yet

we got many but not genuine winger bro...only maxi is genuine..but he play on the right...we need genuine left winger..if babbel wanna play as a winger..should be on the right...he can cross better with his right foot..remember his cross for torres winning goal againts westham.... we need left footed winger...before this we had aurelio who can play as left winger with riera... if we wanna sell riera..we must get his replacement...not use the money for other position...we might be in trouble

yeah... i like Houu Hoouuu llier... more than rafa....we solid in defence but we win more title during his regime..he sign more proven players even got some were not...still remember Gary Mclister...he's old....but the everyone talk about him...keep scoring...especially winning goal from freekick againts everton...we had heskey, owen, fowler during that time..we won against man utd few times through gerrard, fowler n murphy...the only mistake he done is signing diouf n salif diao n few others....but i remember what the late bobby robson told him " IF U START WIN AND WIN TROPHIES...THEN U CAN'T WIN ANYTHING IN A SEASON...THEN U WILL BE SACKED"

Added on July 21, 2010, 6:14 pmOne to watch: Martin Kelly

I tipped Martin Kelly as my one to watch last season but a couple of unfortunate injuries meant it never really happened for him.

If he keeps a clean bill of health, however, Kelly can make his mark during the 2010-11 campaign. As Johnson's natural replacement at the club, Kelly gave an impressive taste of what he is capable of on his full Anfield debut in October.

His man-of-the-match display was one of few highlights of the 2-1 defeat to Lyon in the Champions League, combining defensive solidity with attacking intent that nearly saw him score at one point.

His support play and crossing stood out, as did his distribution and good positional sense. Kelly does the simple things well.
