cassplayer: Eh the link you gave is for the Jupiter-9 85mm F2.0 I was talking about! As far as I know the brightest M42 lens at 85mm was a F1.5, and the existing Carl Zeiss Planar T* 85mm F1.4 does not come in ZS (M42 mount).

Note that this is a different optical design from the Carl Zeiss Planar T* 85mm F1.4 ZA for A-mount.

nope. it depends on the aperture blades.

generally, the more blades the smoother the bokeh. correct me if i am wrong.  laugh.gif

not entirely true. if thats the case, every single lens manufacturer will put 9999 blades into their lens design d...
it also takes into consideration of the lens element design and light transmission path. taking into account diffraction and the physical size of the barrel. balancing weight, diffraction, coma, CA, f-stop and a whole lot others that i cant remember now.

that's what i'm trying to get the answer..
since i look on the pic earlier.. only shows the aperture comparison but not others..
like determine the sharper pic etc..

i believe it not use the same shutter speed..

interested to get a prime to fill in the range between my 16/2.8 pancake and my 50/1.4.

35/1.4G is totally out of my budget. 20/2.8 kinda nice, i love the range, most of the time i put a rubber wrist-band locking my KM1735 at 20mm. a bit expensive though and very hard to find used one. new one would also be out of my budget.

how's the performance of 28/2.8 ya? it's not wide enough on APS-C i think. but it's cheap. but is it worth it?

Yeah I did a search on that lens. Not too bad actually biggrin.gif

Now, to search for 135mm f3.5 also.

There was also a 50mm f0.95 at the shop in Osaka brows.gif

let say in
M mode, longer shutter, big F u will overexpose pic

A mode, big F so the shutter will fast = can get bokeh

S mode, long shutter, u will get small F, short shutter, u will get big F..

MechaHerc, i think what he meant was, the physical aperture itself in determining the bokeh, not in technical terms..

kekeke.. i not that noob untill donno between the shutter/aperture..
just that when mentioned about bokeh..
could be the softer 'bulat²' can be produced by playing with shutter value?
or distance or what ever related to make it smooth like sundae..

of course the aperture is the priority..

And also, if Japan Yen hasnt rised till crazy at that time. The last time he checked it was around RM150 after conversion.
