QUOTE(zstan @ Jul 14 2010, 03:51 PM)
means that the light entering the light at f2.8 is equivalent to the light entering at a normal lens at f4.5?
*
for easy unnderstanding is like this bro, the dof will produce same like F2.8, but the light transmission is F4.5 <- shutter close a bit slow compare to normal F2.8 lens,,

i think i wrote wrongly... tongue.gif

we know that aps-c and FF dof is different...my question is how do we know the aperture on FF to get the similar DOF on aps-c for example f2.8 on aps-c = f??? on ff...

just some random question pops while doing my work... biggrin.gif
*
i oredi ask this to albert back there

F2.8 at apsc = F1.8 at FF

must divide by 1.5 same like sensor crop..

QUOTE(8tvt @ Jul 15 2010, 03:11 PM)
then APSC has better bokeh?  hmm.gif
*
of cos la FF, remember the shallower Dof at FF camera..

QUOTE(8tvt @ Jul 15 2010, 03:18 PM)
i think got something wrong with that so called equal..  sweat.gif

like we can get F1.8 FF result with just F2.8 in APSC..
*
let say we put 85mm F1.4 at A900, we need a lens (plus minus) 50mm F/0.95 here for apsc lol.. like Leica Noctilux-M lens.. haha

nope. it depends on the aperture blades.

generally, the more blades the smoother the bokeh. correct me if i am wrong.  laugh.gif

not truth also imho.. if the shutter is fast more bokeh compare to long shutter..
