In preparation for the official release of FINAL FANTASY XIV on September 30, 2010 and the early release on September 22, we will be starting an open beta test to help put the finishing touches on the game. 1.Access the following URL.
http://entry.ffxiv.com/
* The page will become accessible starting at 2:00 on Sep. 1, 2010.

2.Log in with your Square Enix account and have a registration code issued.
* Depending on the access status, we may temporarily suspend the issuance of registration code. If you cannot have registration code issued, we ask that you please wait a little while before trying again.

3.Register the registration code you received by e-mail on the Square Enix Account Management System.
Click "Select Service" from "Services and Options" on the left menu. Select "FINAL FANTASY XIV" from the services available and then "Add a service account." Enter the registration code you've been issued and proceed to the end of registration.

The Square Enix Account Management System: https://secure.square-enix.com/account/

- Client Software Used in the Open Beta Test
The installer for the open beta test’s client software can be downloaded from the following website.
http://entry.ffxiv.com/

*If you have already downloaded the client software for the closed beta test, there is no need to download the installer.

- Transferring your Character Name from the Open Beta Test to the Commercial Release
As long as the World you choose in the commercial release is the same as the World you chose in the open beta test, you will be able to transfer your character name. If you choose a different World for the commercial release, your character name will not be transferrable. For details, please refer to the beta test site.

- To PlayStation 3 Version Applicants:
This test phase will deal only with the Windows version of the software. Details regarding the test schedule for the PlayStation 3 version will be released by e-mail at a later date. If possible, we still ask and encourage you to take part in the testing on a Windows PC.

- Note:
・The open beta test is being conducted on the Windows version of the game only.
・Latest news and notifications will be periodically posted on the forums of the tester site.
・The game to be tested is under development, and may differ from the commercial release.
・Please direct all inquiries regarding FINAL FANTASY XIV to the Square Enix Support Center ( http://support.eu.square-enix.com/ffxiv/ ).

There is not restriction to what gender you would want to be.

min core 2 duo 2.0 and above
Ram 2gb and above
graphic 9600 and above.
The rest up to u to picturize.
Although there's a part which is kind of vague.
Window OS must be xp sp3 and above.
I find no difference between sp2 and 3 but 3 seems to have more problem then 2.

click this link for score

they have continuing several specs and scores.

Just to let you guys know that this game heavily depended on the GPU/Graphic Cards.

Update 1st page with google spreadsheet score links, battle regimens, and one more here

Gameplay, interface and a such, there is some stuff that hasn't added into it so it might seen awkward as of it for now... .

In simple question = Yes
Are you happy with the answer?

@Neptern
Depends on which kind of lappie. If it's intergrated lappie graphic usually it won't be sufficient but for this case it is already very sufficient to run. But if u were to mention running with full effects on then it's a different story.

@Shojikun
All the while ffonline had depend on gpu + graphic and one more thing is connection.
In ff11 some dude with good pc spec and good connection can outrun an angry mob occasionally without any speed modifier. But unfortunately for malaysian , i nv see that case happen.
Yeap in ffworld , mob moving speed is faster then player. They will cling to u like a glue.
Frm the clip u show, i also notice that ur Send and Receive is pretty much having a bad connection.
Normal case for malaysia isp.. Not like last time, it can be 100+ for send and 200-250 tops for receive.

Yes this is definitely one of our problems in online gaming, but i'm willing to put on research with using unifi, which im getting in this august. What fascinate me using unifi is the upload speed. Although i'm having 2nd thoughts on the bandwidth, I will still going ahead to apply and see the result of it.

TMnet should have separate the bandwidth between Streamyx and Unifi. I just hope they do in the future.

Won't be a major problem currently in beta phase i think.
But if we were to play multi task job as a supporter, it'll be an issue.

Btw have u checked did they change the mob claiming system?
In ff11 once a player claimed a mob, the other players not in the pt won't be able to touch the mob. Hopefuly they didnt remove this.

Hm.. unifi.. don't think they are going to remove the bond between their unifi and streamyx services. Infact they are trying ways to implement quota on unifi. It's a 2 years contract with unifi , once u signed up. So check up wat's the penalty if u were to terminate within 2 years. They are also putting stress on streamyx users over the time. That's y u see sometime streamyx users will get bad connection and yet unifi users are unaffected. Though currently their concern is to get more users into unifi so that they won't lose money. But once their target is reached, i believe they'll probably leave unifi to be like streamyx.

Yes indeed, this may sound awkward, but i think many WoW-Oriented players will not get use to this game tongue.gif just my hunch.

When you do Guildleves, the monsters you are supposed to kill can only be killed by you (pre-claimed by you). This helps to prevent a lack of monsters being available for kill quests. From what i can say it will be like instance in real-time, monster that only you or your party can kill will appear.

Orz.. Orie long time no see..... Still got prescribe one stack of tablet to ur patient ah?

@Shojikun

FFonline is actually very unique compared to other MMO. U'll find it having a system of it own.
It's rigid but yet systematic.

I always have the same surname throughout every game i play XD. U'll see it once i get to join ff14.

No need test the game XD.
U'll nv be dissappointed by the gameplay.
Only the problem is ur endurance to play it.
Most of the time , there are many new players who join ff but there are also alot who quit after a mth.
Though players quit not because the gameplay sux, but it's too extreme and used up too much of players time.
