* To PlayStation 3 Version Applicants:
This test phase will deal only with the Windows version of the
software.
Details regarding the test schedule for the PlayStation 3 version will
be released by email at a later date. If possible, we still ask and
encourage you to take part in the testing on a Windows PC.


To begin testing, please follow the below steps:

(1)Log in to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Tester Site
Announcements, a play guide, client download, and other important
information related to the testing process will all be posted on the
Tester Site.

(2)Update your user name
User names on the Tester Site are generated randomly. To change your

(3)Check the forum
The Tester Site will be home to a forum set up for the exclusive use
of testers.

The forum will primarily be for announcements regarding updated content
and test schedules, but will also be used for posting bug reports and
bulletins, opinions and recommendations concerning test items, and
general tester discussion. For further details on any of these topics,
please navigate to "Forum" > "Play Guide" > "Read Me."

(4)Download the client
The FINAL FANTASY XIV client will be distributed via download. Please
see the "Download" section of the Tester Site for more information.


Reporting Bugs
There is no need for those chosen in this round of tester selection to
submit bug reports. Instead, we ask that you focus your efforts on
providing feedback regarding the game content and balance.

Requests and Precautions
- To allow for optimal improvements to game systems and balance,
testers are asked to actively submit any opinions or feedback they may
have.
- The release of information pertaining to the Alpha Test to sources
other than the Tester Site forum is strictly prohibited. Schedules for
the public release of information will be announced at a later date.
Until then, all information should be treated as confidential.
- Announcements will continually be posted under the "Forum" section of
the Tester Site. Please be sure to check periodically for updates.
- The software used during the Alpha Test is under development, and may
differ significantly from the commercial release.
- Please be aware that there are no plans to transfer Alpha Test
character data to the official release of the game.

waht about the ps3 pre-order ? i noe it is still a long way to go but i still want it so badly eventho pre-ordering way earlier than the release date !!!

Im going to roll a lancer tanker + Tharm + Culinarian + Botanist!

i suggest u just give it up.... so far most reports i read RM2000-5000 range laptop
with graphic card got very low score in Low quality test, like around 500. I even doubt
those laptop cost over 10k able to got an acceptable mark

i also suggest those non-hardcore pc-gamer who plan to play ff14 better download
the benchmark first to see if ur current pc able to run the game, it seem ff14
has high hardware requirement, keep a mind to prepare upgrade your PC (and OS,
win7 scored a little higher than XP)

FFonline never be a user-friendly game, either to pocket or game system = =

dont worry it will be good, ATI is ok too. some guy who had 5970 in beta says pretty much nothing up, it seems that they have already fix the FPS thinggie for ATI users. >:D

but im thinking of getting GTX480 as well, is been too long for me as a ATI user.. want to have some sort of a change sometime

Woot i m quite surprise there is so many malaysian into ffxi here hahaah i also been playing ffxi on n off for few years...in fairy server
i recently just purchase ff11 collection edition...WHY? because i lost my treasure of aht urhgan Cd....cant install =/ very desperate! can lvl up to 80 now muahaha
btw i m forming a malaysia ls...call forsaken for now.
the purpose is to gather all the malaysian players together into one server =D i have posted in facebook and ffxivcore 2.
hope we can all join together n enjoy this game as much as i do in ffxi
let me tell some of the members here about ffxi heeh
ffxi the only big draw back is the party system..u have to party to level after lvl 15..only 1 job beastmaster ca solo till max lvl
the fun about ff11 is that u will enjoy lvling..i could lvl for 24/7 without feeling boring hoho..the skillchain combo between 2 melee job created a effect which can increase the spell dmg casted by mage..which is call magic burst..i think they will have this i ff14..i think so far SE is the only mmorpg that have this skillchain and magic burst stuff..
ff11 game is hard because skill can really make a big difference ..compare to a lot of mmorpg which only depend 90% on gear..
ff14 will be fun not only on lvling but on crafting..a lot of people wil spend a lot of time on crafting 2..very time consuming but very rewarding 2.
i will have a bunch of frens from subang jaya playing 2.
put me on the list for FF14!
btw i just bought ff11 collection edition from play asia...
i ordered online on afternoon 5....then at night status change to shipping already hahahha so fast..i wanted to cancel and buy it outside!
if my copy havent reach me on monday..whoever have the istallatio disc...PLS lend it to me!!!
finally cursed SE for not choosing me as a beta tester!!!

i think the cheapest we can get is from play asia..
they offer free shipping to malaysia...but might take 5 to 8 days ..
if u buy from amazon...the shipping charges is a lot..around 30+usd
also will take 3 to 5 days to deliver to malaysia ;/

Oh good man. The ls is really good for keeping everyone in touch and organizing events. I know having a lot of people in one guild is a bad thing. Always have a lot of emo or super childish people around. With ls we could easily manage some event together n have a point system for epic boss loot just like ff11.

I might give away the cd key to whoever interested on ff11 2 haha since i already have my old account.

Australia placed exclusive for EBGames that preordering AUS version, you get goggles

HOWEVER they did not mentioned anything for Onion Helm

It is safe to say it is a mistake at their end.

No one version can get both. And the codes are within the box.

The only way to get both items are by pre-ordering both edition.

This was clarified many times by the FFXIV officials....

Please note AUS/NZ games follow EU. Preorder should also be the same treatment

i got one from the german site.. somehow i couldnt manage to register the key.. so i emailed them.. after email then, try few more times, manage to register..
after few days, the german site email me with a new key.. so im guessing i got extra one.. anyone wanna try the key?

well.. like me.. i took my PC to a frens house with HSBB connection.. then only the upload speed increase up to 300kbs... so manage to DL the whole thing for about 2hours ++ i guess..
