not translated from bahasa but it do make some cantonese speaking malaysian go
eg
(Malaysia cantonese) -> (hongkie cantonese)
tarpau (take away)-> hang kai
wong lai (nenas) -> polo
this one is epic
siu cho (straw) -> siu tong
Tarpau is a valid cantonese, just that in HK they dont use it that ofteneg
(Malaysia cantonese) -> (hongkie cantonese)
tarpau (take away)-> hang kai
wong lai (nenas) -> polo
this one is epic
siu cho (straw) -> siu tong
The one that sticks out if you are in HK or Guangzhou must be...
1. Sow mah (everything)....correctly is "chuen pou" OR "hampalang"
2. Lui (money)...correctly is "chien"
3. Lok shui (raining)..correctly is "lok yee"
4. Mar Tar (police)..correctly is "kheng chak" or HK's slang word "Ah Share" but we also have slang word "Sui Yau"
And err..we got most of the foul language correctly
