i have got this issue when i work in call center before. I always feel that i am speaking some words that my cust from hong Kong doesn't understand even we are speaking cantonese. because we are so used to the Malaysian cantonese that we have include some Malay word on it, we didn't realise.

for eg.

agak-agak
马大 (polis)
巴沙 (pasar)
lui (duit)

what else? anyone can sponser some?

I think there are some words we think originated from Malay but actually came from the Hokkien dialect.

last time in KL, 99% people speak cantonese..
