kinda upset... are they trying to hint us that they might launch it abit late?!

Correct me if I am wrong but from my understanding of that news, it means DiGi is subsidizing iPhone4 a lot that it may affect their profits. Simply, we could be expecting something very interesting from DiGi.Remember the e-mail that we 1st got Malaysia's Most Affordable iPhone4.

It would be just slightly cheaper or same pricing like Maxis with lower monthly payment perhaps.. Digi likes to play marketing trick.. recall the previous 3GS clearing incident?

maybe more than maxis if not why their shares go down if they dont plan to offer highly subsidized iPhone4.So we just wait for tomorrow to come, seems that DiGi will announce something tomorrow

Too late for what? Its not like everyone in Malaysia wanting an iPhone4 would want to subscribe to Maxis this week.

From the looks of it, most of you will be deeply, sorely disappointed... while Digi has been fairly competitive in the local market, we've been seeing more like 3 steps forward and 4 steps backwards momentum... speaking from a guy who has been stuck with Celcom for the best 10 years or more.

Prepare to be .....underwhelmed.

And tying up the share movement with the iphone 4 "imminent" launch says nothing.... Digi shares have always been actively traded, so whats saying that next week trades is tied up to...the ocean's movement? Or a flock of evil seagulls?

I like that they actually revealed the units sold 2QFY10 at 15,000 ~ 14,000; that's pretty healthy and note that it is just the 2nd quarter, who's to guess that the number could be more on the 1st Q?

You just can't help but giggle on the comment on the "well-publicised antenna-design flaw issue early last month" -- thats kicking a fella when he's down -- that issue was a non-issue as it was more likely to reveal flaws on the AT&T network and the US cellular market in general. Maybe Digi is playing it safe, but from what I heard many friends and work mates are actively checking if they could get out of their contracts, so there is plenty of pent-up demand for the iPhone 4.

Advertise of pricing is under the approval of apple. It's not like they can advertise anytime they like!

im also waiting for Digi's good news.. pretty sure their rates will be very competitive.. or they are just waiting for Maxis to mess up ..
