i finally bought and installed a hyper 212 + for my x4 b55 running prime now weird thing is, on idle the temp is around 38C, while running prime 95 its around 46C
its a big difference from b4...while using stock cooler and running prime 95 the temp jumped to 71C but the idle temp, not much of a difference from before
so my question now is, idle temp 38C, is that normal?

You can check at your ram chip...it will show ELPIDA-TWN...and at the bottom will show BDBG*** just curious only...who knows you might have a good pair of stick that can do 7-9-7 at 800Mhz with 1.7Vdimm... Hmm....maybe ler... I have still to add another fan to blow my dual radiator, currently only 1 fan blowing the radiator, need to cut the top casing head of my CM690 to fit the 2nd 1. Later only do....lazy hahaa
For the GD70, processor waiting for price drop....aiming for either the 955BE or the X6 1055T 95W. Then get some nice DDR3 rams and get a decent card like the 5850. CF maybe in the future but I need to upgrade my PSU to do so :haha:

Well, 1 thing for sure, thermal paste plays a role plus also the performance of the WC kit especially in the radiator part. My dual radiator is just 50% cooled.....so not really optimal
Another thing could be inaccurate sensing of the temperature. Thats about it

wow, 330mhz of base clock and 2640mhz of ht link. even ht link alone also faster than my cpu. 2640mhz of ht link can stable? ht link voltage?
