could be becoz of these:

1. TIM not settle in yet
2. improper way of applyin TIM (i'm too stingy to put alot then use a card to make it even  )
3. performance max out @ low clock, Ven X will shine as d clocks go higher
they should have made it enabled by default... well, dfi bios always got some flaws here & there (spellin & etc...), but when it comes to overclockability, nothing beats genie bios... it's a cryin shame that they're outta business... finger crossed for biostar to be the nearest replacement to dfi (bios & overclockability wise)... 

Haiyahhh, sad to hear bout that Ven X not being what u hope it to be, maybe different architecture or even the difference in cpu die placement between AMD & Intel is the factors contributing it..

Yup sometimes its a wonder why does a mobo make a certain decision like that, like in ahsus case why d hell won't they just integrated/make it always on the load line calibration if they know without it the mobo will under/overvolts

I have no prob hitting 1800mhz at 8-8-8 on 1.62v but the prob is going for speed above that with lower timing is what makes me  :/stars:
