Hi all,
I am very new here, just get my XT720 2 days ago. Very happy with the phone and really like it very much. It got a bit laggy at 1st but after I installed Prolauncher, it become smoother a lot without any live wallpaper. But today, I encounter a small problem, I cannot surfing with the wifi which previously can. HSDPA surfing is ok and fast enough. Just cannot surf via wifi. Anyone encounter the same problem b4 and know how to solve it? thanks~ ;p |

recovery mode = toggle camera mode button + power
- presented with the triangle image - can be used to do factory reset, load update file, custom recovery (not yet possible on xt) bootloader mode = camera shutter + volume down + power - flash sbf file with rsd lite, return to stock firmware This post has been edited by sanosizo: Aug 20 2010, 12:51 PM |

plug the cable, open rsd lite (must have usb driver installed), choose the right sbf file then flash away.
sbf normally has 2 versions, service and without service. service version will retain all your data in the phone. the other will wipe the phone clean and install all stock stuff like a new phone. both will not delete files from the sd card. |

- use rsd lite 4.6
- make sure to install the motorola usb driver if still cannot detect, change to a different usb port or a different computer, never use usb adapter or extender. |

You can use the phone without adding gmail account. At that touch android screen, just touch all for corners of the screen starting from the top left point.
Anyway, good to hear that you managed to flash it back. Just be a bit careful when installing stuff that will alter the system files. The hackers already found a way to put custom recovery and even custom rom into droid x. Hopefully it will be applicable to all motorola phones as well. |

Added on August 21, 2010, 4:44 pm QUOTE(ranggie4 @ Aug 14 2010, 02:32 AM) Managed to find the lowest vsel setting for 1Ghz on my phone. Currently at 58 and set display brightness to highest, turned on Bluetooth, Wi-fi, GPS and was using the browser to surf and also launched a game all at the same time. how do u guys change the vsel? Was running vsel=54 for 800Mhz. When I bumped up the speed to 1Ghz with vsel=54, it rebooted. With vsel=56, phone booted up but as soon as I tried to move to another home page, it froze. With vsel=57, phone booted and was trying out all the functions I mentioned above but the phone froze as soon as GPS was accessed by Foursquare application. Will be trying for the lowest vsel for 800Mhz when I have the time. This post has been edited by rhythmjhan: Aug 21 2010, 04:44 PM |
