Seems like we are off topic already...

What i would like to know about this phone is hows the camera performance compared to the original milestone. Since its equipped with a xenon flash, i expect it will solve low light picture taking issue. Bumping the megapixels doesn't make much different if the picture turns out dark n hazy. Im surprised how good 3gs takes indoor shot even without flash, im not sure if this is android issue or motorola itself.

Could u guys (with the phone) take some indoor shot with the default settings? And perhaps shots with both flash on & off just for comparison.

Anyone interested getting this phone for rm1.8k? Comes with docking station and pouch and other standard accessories. Later i put the advert.

Camera improved a lot compared to milestone, with 8mp and xenon flash, indoor picture will look better.

And its lightweight compared to milestone, first time i held it i thought i was holding a case instead of a phone. Probably because i already used to the milestone weight.

droid x and xt720 spec is totally different. the similarities probably 8mp shooter and hdmi port and it ends there. if the gsm version even exist, it will be very expensive, no less than rm2.5k imho considering the fact that its in the same league as iphone 4.

i just bought this phone, using it for few days already. seems like i'm going to let go off my milestone sad.gif the reasons?

1. lighter
2. got fm radio
3. better camera
4. better flash
5. iphone style 'cut n paste text' (same as in droid x)
6. iphone style auto arrange home screen icons n widget
7. did i mentioned its lighter?

nice phone. once we get froyo, it will be fast.

All android phones need root to give freedom for customization. I want to remove unwanted apps that I never use, wasting the phone internal memory. I also need to overclock so that the camera can take picture faster.

it's a great phone but the metal part somehow made the phone looks cheap, maybe that's just me.

Added on July 13, 2010, 8:37 pmAnyway, how do you disable the camera click sound?

Powerful yes, but a bit slow. At least it can take pictures in total darkness.

Desire is a faster phone, have to correct you on xt720 spec, it only got 256mb ram not 512mb. Desire runs on a 1ghz compared to 550mhz on xt720, that will make a lot of differences in term of performance. Only froyo can make it faster, if we never get root on this baby.

If you wait for the uk version to arrive I think you will be disappointed because even uk version runs at 550mhz. Just do a little bit more research (like true android user as you said) and you will found out about it.

There is a rumor about singapore xt720 having a clock speed increase to 720mhz in the future when the phone gets the new firmware update. But as of now, all xt720 runs at 550mhz, unfortunately.

Oh, and another thing, this phone is not the only motorola phone with android 2.1, we also have the original milestone.

This is the review for uk version - http://www.t3.com/reviews/phones/mobile-ph...ne-xt720-review

Motodev website stated the speed is 'up to 720' not equal to 720, so they might increase the speed from 550 to 720 in the future

that is for the original milestone. and it looks hideous! i still prefer an extended battery like the energizer xpal series.
