it seems that momo is bullying hiro... normally female will be very " sticky" with the male issit?
she is not only rubbing her head on his head but his body as well...
I'm so scared that momo's nail is too long and will injure hiro's eye...

until the sifu answers...lulurin, your gliders still joeys isit? not every glider will have the exact same clock...just like people ada yang bangun awal tidur lambat ada yang bangun lambat tidur lambat so as long as that lil fella is eating and sleeping and pooping within the normal range my suggestion is to let it be...

but you should check whether there is anythg that causing the animal to be distressed sampai takut nak relax ke or perhaps it is in tune to your routine? sometimes they are like ppl too...new situations new smells so exciting how to sleep?cover their cages well during the day with your old baju so that the smell with comfort them and see...

my gliders wake me up at 530-6 am by barking andthey play and eat til around 7 am pas tu dok dalam pouch groom and munch some more til they get to my office and go nuts til around 11 am baru makan and sleep but when they are at home in the cage on weeknds they'll just sleep the whole day...

Added on July 9, 2010, 7:58 amal da great try tanya kelvin...his DIY cage accessories are pretty fabulous if emino is too shy...mana tau kot kot if kelvin go emino might agree too?

Monitor closely if they fight or feel annoy when putting them together, otherwise u will need to seperate and reintroduce again.

What glidermama mean is a new scent will distress glider as well, jus like u sometime u change the cleaning detergent to clean the cage or u put on body lotion/perfume.. Their nose is damn sensitive..

hi guys... this is my first post in the Sugar Glider thread... so please bare with me if i asked lots of noob questions... tongue.gif

well... my wife just bought a sugar glider yesterday from a seller... a male one...
according to the seller the D.O.B. is 24th April... so it is 2.5 months now... i hope the joeys is not too young... sad.gif
i've been reading some guidelines in the first page of this thread... its a lot of info to swallow at one time... smile.gif

my questions are...
1) where can i buy the cage like in the pic in the first thread... i tried to search in the pet store thread but couldnt find it...
the seller did provide the cage but it is a small one and the space seems not enough for the sugar glider...
also... where can i buy the accessories for it?
user posted image

2) we plan to get another sugar glider as the pair for our sugar glider... ive read dat there are a few considerations to take note...
such as male adult didnt get along well with other male adult and also might harm other younger female...
so... 2.5 months is it consider adult? if not... what is the age dat is consider adult?
if we are going to get another sugar glider... wat are the sifus recommendation... is it male or female?

3) the seller did mention dat we are not suppose to give food/fruits from the fridge to the sugar glider... is it true? coz i read in other website it is ok to give food/fruits from the fridge to the sugar glider...

4) the seller also mention dat to get bonding... put some honey on our fingertip and let the sugar glider lick it... then i read in other website... it said honey is not recommended... which is true? can sifus here help me on this?

5) do we need to clean the sugar glider? the seller provide shampoo as well... actually the shampoo is to soften the rabbit/hamster fur... can we use it on the sugar glider?

Below is the details of our sugar glider... (can u update the post in the first page... smile.gif )

Name: Momo (male)
D.O.B.: 28th April 2010
D.O.A.: 10th July 2010

hope to hear from u guys soon... biggrin.gif

SG NORMALY seldom drink during day time while they asleep
u if feed them watery fruit like water melon or jambu air they dun rili drink much after tat ....
but for causious check for dehydration by following method show on fist page
put 2 water souce in the cage water bottle (same bottel for hamster)
and water bowl , when u see water in the bottle drop complely remove the water bowl, can hang the bottle near thier sleeping pouch and observe lol

happy bonding to both off u icon_rolleyes.gif
