Hi....Just want to ask about this food supplement that my mom have bought recently at a popular pet shop which she saw on the shelf of the store and she even asked the shop assistant about it it. She haven't gave it to the gliders yet cause she wanted to asked my permission first weather it is save to give them. My mom likes to try everything those are eatable to the gliders at any available pet shops, she even gave them dried roses and rose hip to them once a while as a treat.

She said that at the label stated Honey-egg Food supplement which the ingredients are :- egg , honey, soya meal, white millet and niger seed... to be sprinkle on the food.

If it is save then I can inform her that it's aye ok to give it to them.....

I think that is not sugar glider food. The company that produces that brand of food somehow takes other products to repack as glider food. Why, how come glider pellets are green and are in the shape of fish? Anwser is it is cat food. Another pellet is using Kangaroo and Rice, which is what some dog food in Australia is made from..... and this honey and egg supplement has seeds like millet and niger, it is more for birds and grain eaters.....

Good news, Looks like the mom is taking care of her joey pretty good. Just now i saw the mommy come out and the joey hanging under her pouch and i can see the joey is nursing from her mom, Can see she bitting the mom's nipple. Pretty impressive to see the joey's jaw can open that fast, due to it's size. I guess i can bring the Father go neutered now.

i went to (....insert pet shop name here....) this evening, they jual SG, letak dlm display exoterra punya bekas, no jaring for the glider to climb only on top of the bekas, where direct lampu oso got atas jaring.

i pity the SG. . feel like crying oso got. . ;__;
the SG tergantung upside down with both of her leg dekat jaring,n her both hand x pegang apa2 but then shivering. . D= menggigil, i don know why. . ;__;

Thanks for the information ......I already informed my mom not to give it to the gliders and also asked her weather she have ever given the gliders any green pellets with the shape of fish or pellets using Kangaroo and rice and she replied that she have not and never seen one of those before......AND by the way, the twins joeys are doing fine. My mom said that she can see two tiny tails sticking out of the mom's pouch and sometimes one of the joeys came out of the pouch with it's mouth still sucking it's mom's nipple. They are quite big with no fur on them ( my mom said that the skin feels like soft rubber ) and the mom can hardly move with that enormous belly and she's always like to lay on her back...is that normal.....My mom calculate that the twins will be oop by the middle of November or maybe sooner......

My little Jo-Jo barks at wee hours in the morning.... i play with her... pet her...sayang her... then when I leave her alone and off to bed she'll start her "yap, yap, yap, yap,yap..." I found the reason why.. she wants a Snack... is this normal?

Yes it is normal for gliders to bark at late night/early morning..
They have several meanings for it..
If a snack makes it stop, then it's good!

halo guys, i got two female gliders, but both of them dislike each other.

did u juz put them together? u need to introduce them 1st.. put in the different cage then let them know/smell each other 1st.. u cant juz put them without introduce

and cant find cages for sugargliders

what pellet food for? i may suggest to variety of fruits and vege plus HPW but please no pellet as a staple food


regarding cage.Minimum 3 feet high.we should not compromise on the size of the cage

i would like to urge new owners to invest more money on that.go get bigger can.yes, 3 feet is minimum but i the way o see it right now, the quality of standard 3feet cage is quite low.

i went to meet kelvin on last Tue and discuss a bit about 3 feet cages.not tough as before and also the size become much smaller.( and yes, i still owe him 27 bucks hehe)

mine got rusty a bit but manage to buy 3.5feet from kelvin which i found good and give more space for my glider.Plus more easy to clean it.

so guys, whenever u got time go seek and ask yr local pet store for good,durable and bigger cage suitable for sugar gliders.

Invest more rather than slow update because we do not know when the cage start going rust..i mean, in small small area sure tak perasan one.
expensive,no? yes but in long term it worth.

other than that, go DIY..some of ppl i saw in FB hv great idea by built up good cage for their gliders..i think it was from a wardrobe frame, rite? with mesh and cable tight.

so, what say u?

Please read the first page first. Theres answer for your questions there.

Does your apartment allow pets?

No hamster cages please. Gliders are borned climbers, they need space and height for them to climb. At least a 3ft cage. Invest more for long term use.

Do not get gliders from pet shop you are basicly supporting underaged and unhealthy gliders being sold. Read first page for sugar glider diet and no they do not solely live on pellets. I recommend to go for Bugsy HPW as their staple diet with a variety of fruits.

Yes you can find those bird cages for sugar glider but definitely not the small one please.

Please reconsider getting a pair or only one glider because glider needs attention and care because they are very social pets. If you're only planning to get one glider, then be prepared to spend most of your time with your glider. This doesn't mean you don't have to spend time with them if you have a pair.

Read through first page and good luck.

i dun live in penang so i dont know any good breeder there.

but i believe you should start step by step..do not go onto impulse buying.

first, get a minimum 3feet cage.

second, buy some essential thing like sleeping and bonding pouch.scent cloth too..u can get it online

3rd, learn more about their eating and habit.pellet food is not good diet for them.thus read more at the 1st page of this thread.

4th, locate where the seller..if u want get an underage ( we don't support that idea) there's a lots of them.
if u wanna get a healthy glider, maybe a trip to KL or selangor might be a good idea.some of us here got joey or suggie for sale.hence, u can buy suggie stuff here too.

above all that, get yr budget right.

cages u can get from CTY, KW, Toby....these r the bigger ones...
got smaller shops also
just hunt around.

for glider stuff maybe okay..can go hunting around as per above advise
