irrespective. i think both malls you mentioned, and including atria mall would be under serious threat from sterling mall later.

i think this mall would be the one to be affected the most given the poor access.. icon_rolleyes.gif

This mall is destined to fail. They may put BIG as an anchor. But I doubt it will be a crowd pulling factor due to its horrible access and location. Let's see how long can BIG lasts here before they pull outta glo.

Correct me if I am wrong but this glo mall is after thought and not part of the original master plan.

Restaurant Super Tanker will move to Glo Mall in August 2016. This will bring the Chinese crowd there

It's only 5 mins walk and it's covered walkway all the way from Glomac Damansara to TTDI MRT station.

some comments from customers for this mall:

Was there last week n nothing much tht would attract me to go back. Ben's grocer was very quiet, no crowd n freezing cold. Was there for less thn 10 mins n left immediately as I was shivering.

scary when you get out from car park to ben.. only ben is opening now, very scary especially at night

Toured some of their leftover units (brand new).

Gotta say quality of their workmanship is terrible for the $780/sq ft they are charging.

Saw entire walls that had wavy plaster.
Floor baseboards that were cut (edges/ends) but not stained (shows bare wood).
Sloppy painting, that either goes where it isnt supposed to, or doesnt go into grooves or nooks.
Grey grout for bathroom floor tile, gets applied 6-10" up onto the white grout on wall tiles.
Strong Sewer smell (maybe water in drain traps are dried up)
Racks for A/C units already rusting.

Not impressed for a 'luxury' condo.
If you cant get the simple stuff correct, makes me wonder about the major stuff.

Looking at current rate of occupancy,
GLO days are numbered...
Now the group is relying on development return to fund the operating cost for mall as well as earlier committed finance charges.
Within 5km, GLO, 1UTAMA, Tropicana City Mall, and Atria...plus upcoming Starling...total 5malls.

jz went to Tropicana city mall a week ago and I saw a lot of major areas are boarded to make way for new tenants/concepts..

saito college and several new f&b outlets will be opening at the new extension building of TCM..

seems like glo gonna work really HARD to attract tenants or else they will keep on struggling badly..

Capital Mall setting up, management team leasing team and overall marketing strategy is very very much advance than GLO Glomac staff that not been given bonus for continuously Teo years.
Many have left the job....
In term of location, accessibility and management all below TCM,
I can't see any future for this mall.
The only changes of surviving is wait for large REIT to buy, do extension (but can't see any changes) and rebranding....

Talk about rental rate I am not sure .
But last week I went there I can see the rate of occupancy is good.
Even nearby office tower there is new Korean theme extension.
